Hi guys-

The special 20th anniversary event is coming up soon in Japan and the team has been gathering any SVX questions for the guest speaker, Mr. Iga, the former Subaru engineer who was involved in the SVX project back then.

Some of you might have seen this anniversary website... but here's the link. Sorry I still haven't had a chance to work on the English translation on this page.

So any SVX questions you have, any questions... we'd like to hear it!
Some of you have already PM me but you can just post them up here. Thanks a lot for your help in advance...

My questions would be...
  • Why no 5MT?
  • Why no decent cup holders?
  • How come we didn't get the AC control panel like JDM one...?
  • Why no VTD 4WD system for USDM?
etc...

If you were could modify an SVX using today's technology, what updates would you consider/perform?

What gear ratios would you use if installing an SVX?

Least/most favorite facet of the SVX, 14 years after production ceased?

Here is a good question. Will they rebuild an inventory of replacement parts and/or save the tooling necessary to make more replacement parts as needed?

How about "Why only 230 Hp?" (yeah, I know "Because the 4HEAT wouldn't support more")

"Why no option for 'sport' suspension?" (better springs/struts/swaybars/bushings)

Hard to tell but I'll ask. He's a former Subaru engineer, no longer with the subaru. But it's a good question, I'd ask the same..
