Windscreen Tint
 

I have a black JDM import with a cracked windscreen.

My earlier car (grey JDM) had a blue tint at the top of the windscreen, the black machine doesn't appear to have any tint at all.

Standard issue in the UK appears to be a bronze tint, but I'm not sure that would suit a black car, so I would prefer to see if I can find a blue/green tinted screen.

Any views?

The bronze tint went with the beige interior. Is yours gray or beige? I have seen the black (ebony) with both. :)

Our import has a blue tint on all the windows and a deep blue top tint on the windscreen. It's a burgundy car with a black roof.

Having looked at a few photos, I think the black JDM cars and all the UK cars had bronze windows.

The blue and bronze tint windscreens are both available here. We had ours done by autowindscreens. Try to claim on your insurance because they cost around 800 quid. The installer was a little apprehensive, having never done an SVX before, but afterwards he said it was a really easy job.

I've had a closer look at mine and the tint is clearly blue. The interior is grey, so that makes sense. I will hold out for the blue tint. Both previous times I have had to have the windscreen replaced, there was no problem finding a blue one, but no-one appears to be able to find one at the moment. Any suggestions? It will be an insurance job! I don't seem to have much luck with windscreens as my Berlingo(!) has also suffered from a stone chip in the last month, but that can be fixed.
