1994 Laguna LS-i AWD for sale near Portland, OR

Unfortunately, a few factors have conspired to make me want/need to sell my SVX. I just got booted from the house I was renting basically because I had four cars. Big f***ing deal. Also, because my wife is Latina and I have kids. My landlady has issues and will be hearing from HUD regarding the Fair Housing Act. Anyway...So I had to move to the apartments where I work. I got rid of my Outback parts car already(only had it a week, but that was long enough for her to *****) and I need to let one more vehicle go. NOBODY will buy my 93 Suburban so I guess it has to be the SVX. I bought it basically just for the commute to work, but now I just walk about 50 yards to work. That's pretty sweet.

This car as a TOTALED TITLE in my name from Oregon and has tags good until 10/16. I bought it in January and swapped out the tranny(broken pinion gear in front diff) in favor of a 4.44 from a 97 Outback. Changed the rear diff to 4.44 (same Outback) as well retaining the SVX LSD rear carrier. I also got the ECUtune stage 1Av1 from Small car and sent my TCU to Michael to have him work his ECUtune/Subiechips magic on it. Mission accomplished. Car runs and drives great. AC works great. Only mechanical issue is two bent rear lateral links(the front rears) which sometimes cause a vibration from the rear when driving over 60+mph. The front core support was slightly pushed in on the right side near the radiator mount when I got it. But I managed to straighten it out quite easily. Also has a fist-sized dent on the hood right above that location. Looks like a bowling ball has dropped on the hood as opposed to running into something. I lowered the front of the car on STI springs which fit perfectly in place of the SVX springs. All other suspension is OEM SVX and feels like it's in quite good conditon. I just replaced the hood struts with those from McMaster Carr. Head unit has no faceplate, but the speakers have been upgraded.

Location of the SVX: Tigard, OR

Year: 1994

Model: LS-i

VIN: JF1CX3558RH102570

Manufacture date: 2/94

Paint Color: Laguna Blue

Interior Color: Grey Leather

Miles: 173,000

Location: Tigard, OR

Options: all

AWD or FWD: AWD

Modifications: 4.44 from 97 Outback, ECUtune Stage 1Av1, Ecutune 4.44 TCU, lowered on factory Sti springs in the front, grille painted to match factory Laguna blue

Major service: replaced OEM trans with lower mile transmission and rear diff from 97 Outback.

Engine Condition: Very good. No leaks or noises.

Maintenance Records: Lots of recent maintenance records as well as carfax

Transmission condition: Very good. no issues.

Glass condition: No cracks anywhere. Some etching in the driver's moving window.

Type of tire and remaining tread: matching Dunlop 225/40-18 70%

Type of wheels: 18 x 8" 2006 Infiniti M45 8 spoke rims w/45 offset. Gloss black

Interior condition: Very good. Driver's seat is good with a small faded spot. Would look like new with some of that seat restore stuff. Passenger seat has a popped seam on the bottom, but it's only about 1" long and barely noticeable. No rips or tears in leather. Escaine is in good shape. All else is also in good shape.

Body condition: OK, looks good enough, but has a few dings on it. Car looks awesome from a distance. Paint has good gloss. One dent in the leading edge of the hood and one small ding in the driver's side rear quarter. Hood bra would cover the hood ding. A couple door dings in the driver's door. I would recommend replacing or filling the hood, repairing dings and re-painting entire car. May as well, since there is nothing mechanical to address. I think it was hit in the rear at some point, but seems to have been repaired well. Probably resulting in the totalled title. I notice blue over spray on the left exhaust tip. Also, right muffler tip is bent in. No other signs of damage to rear. The trim above the rear license plate has junkyard scribble on it.

Known defects or problems: Needs frontmost rear lateral links on both sides. Must have encountered a tow driver with hydraulic tie downs.

Comments about the car: Runs and drives great and is quick and handles well. Vibration from the rear at 60+ mph due to lateral links. Have driven less than 30 miles since replacing the tires. It is likely toe-in in the rear. AC WORKS!

Asking price: $2500 FIRM. Worth way more in parts

Sorry to hear you're selling. I keep seeing these PNW svx's with no rust and it makes me want to fly out for work, and take a few days off and drive it cross country back home. Good luck with the sale

Well, this one began life in Colorado and was moved to the Seattle area between 99 and 01. So there is a wee bit of rustage below, but not like a NE car.

Love those wheels.

Thanks for the wheel comments. I found a paint that matched the factory hyper silver perfectly. Painted one up and it looked awesome. But the paint just rubbed right off on my finger. So I hit it with clear and it turned dull grey. So I had some fun sanding it all off again.

Car is still for sale. It just sits there as I practically don't drive anywhere anymore. Could use some money for a down payment on a house.

Still sitting in my parking lot here. Looks like it might end up being a parts donor. Must be the totalled title that's scaring people off.

It is most likely your location more than anything else. I would guess if you were on the east coast the car would be sold by now.

For me its the title. I'd be on it if it had a clean title.

I'm dropping the price to $2000 to avoid parting it out in my apartment's garage. Alternator started failing however.

I found some lateral links today at a JY so I can get that vibration in the rear fixed soon. Might pick up the hood too. Alternator was gone.

I almost traded it today for a 2005 Ford Freestyle, but I checked the trade-in value of both cars and mine had his beat $1529 to 733. Wow, that's pretty crappy for a 10 y.o. vehicle. But then again it does have one of the worst CVT trannies ever.
