In need of struts!

Hello Everyone,
I haven't been here in a while, just been very busy. Anyway my car is really starting to feel like I'm driving a truck:( . My good handling is gone and I need to replace these old struts with something soon. I'm curious as to what mods or replacement struts some of you used on your car, whether stock or not and what it cost you. I appreciate any info or advice. Thanks

- What kind of handling do you want?

- How much are you willing to spend?

Well I like to look for the best deals for the budget I'm on. I'm concidering lowering my car a little, especially the front end without the bounce. I know doing that will improve the handling. I just don't know all the options out there and what will work for me.

I'm not looking to spend $1000s of $$$, but I willing to concider a good product.

I do push my car to its limits sometime and would like it to remain safe while doing so. I'ld like to hear some ideas along with conversions tips with prices if possible, so I can make a decision on what to do.

I recommend the Koni/GC or Koni/Mychailo springs... If i had to do it again I would have gone further than the new stock struts because it's not a huge price difference after all is said and done.

Definitely start with Koni's. You can always choose the springs later.

Ok,...The Koni's are inserts right? also where's the best place to look for them?

Thanks for the response.

Ok Thanks,.. I checked out the site and that's actually not a bad price for 4. I'm going to start getting some $$ together so I can make the change soon. Thanks again.

You could also get the struts from Mychailo. Give him a call he charged me $640 shipped and it only took 2 weeks to get them. The install was easy too.

No kidding? I might pass on getting wheels this winter in favor of some pre-made Konis.

They weren't pre-made I did the inserting. But that wasn't bad if you have a brand new drill bit, file, and pipe cutter.

Haha! The cutting was the easy part, putting the springs on was my biggest PITA

Thanks for the tip gest24. I don't think I'll have a problem with the insert install either as long as there's good instructions. How much more did you pay for your springs?
