Anyone looking for a new SVX?

Hi everyone,

I have a very good example SVX which I don't think I can really justify keeping and wondered whether any of you guys would be interested in it. I posted some pics a few weeks ago but can do more if anyone wants to see them. I will be advertising it shortly but thought you guys on the forum may like it as its a good one and it would be preferable if it could go to an enthusiast.

Sorry to hear you are letting the car go. It looks a very nice car, one that would be worth while having.

What sort of money are you looking to get?

Joe:)

Hi Joe,

Yes its a shame to let her go as she is a very nice example. Just had our first baby and as much as I'd love to keep running the car its just not practical for me really.

Not sure what its worth really so would be open to offers but I don't think anyone would be disappointed with the purchase. I'm not in any particular rush to sell as I wouldn't mind a few more months driving but if you know of anyone who wants a decent example put them in touch. I'm based in Hertfordshire just North of London. The model is a 94 (L) with 66,500 miles on the clock with FSH with Subaru in the main through Subaru in Baldock. I'll take some more pics and post them soon.

Cheers

Tim

Thanks Tim

I used my "Administrator" muscle and added a few of your pics to your first post, I hope you don't mind.

Best of luck with the sale.

Joe:)

wish we had black leather here in the states

Brian,

You must have plenty of cows on the plains for that!!!

So the SVX's in the states didn't have leather seats?

Tim

We had Grey and Tan leather available.

svxistentialist 04-12-2007 10:21 AM

They have leather OK Tim, although not in all models.

In their cars, the leather is either a battleship grey or tan colour. They don't have black.

Maybe you guys have beige as well????

The tan colour looks really good with the '96 Burgundy cars, and also with Polo Green.

Nice car and same as our 94M SVX, same colour etc ! Good luck selling it... value wise we had tried gauging ours ( 97k miles FSH etc) UK car and seems £2k if we were lucky, maybe £1700 alas. Yours has lower miles so I would have thought you should get £2250. Impossible to price these ! Ebay is the place to try as stated, with a reserve, but have seen them limp to barely £1000-1500 and a very nice JDM silver one I looked at was pulled at £2200, with 40k or so miles. Good luck !

nice car, how much is £1700 in U.S. dollars? i might be interested in it, i love my 94 green l svx with 130k miles and wouldnt mind buying another one with less miles for a everyday driver.

Skelly 04-17-2007 12:16 PM

Thats $3,400 in new money.

JaySVX 04-19-2007 08:12 AM

3400$ plus shipping. Or you could try the really long snorkle idea, though to my knowledge it hasn't worked yet.

Hi everyone,

I have put the 94 black SVX on ebay for starters so lets see how we go!! There seems to be a few coming up for sale and good ones at that.

This SVX is my third car (don't ask as the wife will be sure to find out!) and I have to admit I only drive her at the weekends but as she is officially up for sale, I have driven her everyday now for the last week or so and I am secretly hoping the ebay bids don't meet the reserve and I'll keep her in the garage. Sssh, mums the word.......

Cheers

Tim
