tranny codes

What tranny codes can we use. Currently there is a trans on ebay listed as a 1997 legacy with the code being TZ102Z2CBA-DT
Can I use this? Thanks damian

Legacy and Imprezza transaxles through 1998 can be used (I have a 98 Imprezza box in my SVX) - 99 & up changed from a band to a clutch and the TCU changed.

If I am correct in this. The Legacy trannys are all 4.44 except the 2.5l GT. The GT is a 4.11. That is the one I have in my car. It is out of a 97 Legacy. Call subie dealer and have them run the vin on the car. They can tell you what teh final drive ratio is.

That is the same # on the 97 Legacy Outback 4EAT in my Claret SVX. It has 4.44s:D
