Well the car is definitely low mileage which is more than I can say for her. :D

That has to be one of the cleanest first gen Legacys I have ever seen.

Suby Fan 05-29-2006 02:57 PM

and its the 25th anivercery addition! wait 93's are second gen right? i mean they redisigned the fenders hood rear end dash and doors... from what i can tell between the 2 that i have owned (90 and a 93)

In her better years...

How would our legacies (or SVX's for that matter) look after 87 years? Body needs a little restoration, bushings probably squeak a little, bearings need repacking and her clutch is probably weak and in need of replacement.

Earl,

As old timers we should try and out bid each other for this car. Maybe we can get Preston Sides to join the fray.

Personally, I'll send in a bid if she adds the fuschia velour jump suit to the deal.

ensteele 05-30-2006 11:32 PM

What is your starting bid Larry? :) :D

LarryIII 05-31-2006 03:48 AM

Let's see, $200 ought to cover the fuschia jump suit; so I'll go $700:)

If you win, maybe Celeste will throw in some matching nail polish so that Rosie won't have to go shopping... :D

The ad says she is willing to sign the dash if requested and the price is right!
and that a photo opportunity is available upon pick-up. So here's the deal:

Buy the car. It's a great deal anyway.

Have her autograph the dashboard. Then sell the car to Earl- he has always had a soft spot for unique Subaru items, especially if they're autographed.

Take Ron along. He can try to pick up Celeste and if he is successful, let her give him a photo-op he will never forget! (Make sure he brings along his digital camera... I think the paparazzi have stopped stalking her quite a while ago) Once he talks her out of that jumpsuit, he'll give it to you for a good price (it's not his size and Gail is not a fuschia kind of woman)

Speaking of fuschia, run this by Rosie first. I'm sure she will tell you that you could never wear that jumpsuit when driving SUBYDOO. You can only wear it while driving one of your pearlies.

or

Sell Celeste one of your pearlies, you autograph the dash for her, have the car repainted fuschia to match her jumpsuit (which she keeps) and have Ron deliver it to her. Now there is a photo opportunity!

As far as I'm concerned, you didn't type anything after that. I certainly stopped reading after that, anyway. :p

+1 She needs to keep that jump suit ON!!!! ;)

svxcess 05-31-2006 09:45 AM

Of course you all know the difference between

Once he "talks her out of the jumpsuit" (which means that Ron, in his most persuasive manner, would convince her to give the jumpsuit to him as a memento of the deal.)

which differs from

Once he talks her into "taking off the jumpsuit" (which has completely different connotations, but requires the same persuasive manners, although with not as much enthusiasm)

I forgot what I really intended to say at this point

haha what an old bat! Does the car have a coffin in the back too?
