With a grateful thanks to a member of an Australian Performance Car Board that I am part of, he was able to access VFACTS (the Australian database for new car sales) and was able to find the following information:Data I have access to shows.....

They were listed under "Sports Luxury" individually from 1993 to 1996. They were then listed under "Luxury" in 1997. The 1992 models are included in "others" that totalled 148 for the year, so I am not sure what the individual numbers are.

1993 - 65
1994 - 27
1995 - 36
1996 - 14
1997 - 3

That accounts for 145 of the 250....

Hmm.....looks like the SVX actually may have had less than 250 sales!!!

Yep, we could have a collection of burgandy coloured (claret etc!) SVX's!

It was in very good condition and only $32,000 for a 1996 with 40,000km - bargain!

The only thing is that since my contract is up soon, I don't want to commit to a loan till I have a more permanent position.
