Aftermarket alarm compatibilty
 

Hi all!
Please forgive me if this belongs in the MODS thread. I still have my glove box out, so I thought about installing an aftermarket alarm in the same location, USING THE SAME EXISTING WIRING. Does anyone know if that's possible with an aftermarket alarm system? Also I'd like to use my new SVX alarm remotes with the new alarm system. Are they compatible with any aftermarket alarm systems that you know of?

The remotes aren't compatible with any A/M unit that I'm aware of. You should be able to hook into the harness with your A/M system, though. Here's the wiring diagram, courtesy of Doug Mohr (mohrds). http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/atta...=&postid=11395
