Extra S, anybody?
 

Since I tend to over investigate everything I've come across this Subaru Extra S gear oil. It is p/n K0323AA093. This seems to be the universally accepted king of fluids for the 5mt. Unfortunately it only comes in a 20L bucket at about $150. Just thought I'd pass this tidbit along.
