Battery Suggestions Wanted

I'm considering buying an OEM Subaru battery to restore the original appearance of my engine bay. I figured the dealer is the only place to get one of these, so I gave them a call. They want $83.00 bucks for a 550 CCA battery. It will be replacing my 850 CCA or so optima. I'm just wondering if a stock battery is ok as far as longevity and will it be alright with 2 amps hooked up. I really had a string of bad luck with the optimas from AutoZone who by the way have been really cool with returns. If an OEM isn't up to the task can someone suggest a stock looking battery (No Bling, Bling Please) that will perform well.

I doubt that the dealer is selling actual OEM batteries if that makes a difference. Otherwise every Subaru serviced by the dealers would still have oem tires on 'em. 550 should be more than enough so long as you're not one to sit and listen to the radio for hours without the car running.

I like the concept of the Optima, but I have had some bad luck with them and have gone with others. :o

Picked up my new subaru battery today, I almost got a hernia. 575 CCA and full of OEM goodness. I just hope it serves me well. I had my fill of aftermarket crap.

I think my Justy battery had the same power rating :D
