Black 4WS JDM at SoCal Nethercutt Meet
Wow, the Nethercutt Museum is beyond description :), I could certainly do that at least one time per year.
A hearty thanks to Paul for sharing the VIP treatment he has earned with the rest of us. New friends, a great time by all. Thanks to all of you. If anyone wishes to post pictures or comments of/about the Alcyone, let's make this thread the official discussion. See you all tomorrow for another fun packed day at the Peterson Automobile Museum :D |

Re: Black 4WS JDM at SoCal Nethercutt Meet
To answer a PM question, "Was there a black Alcyone SVX at the Nethercutt Museum". Answer, yes, I drove it there

Re: Black 4WS JDM at SoCal Nethercutt Meet
So how many Alcyones you have Ron? TWO?
|
Re: Black 4WS JDM at SoCal Nethercutt Meet
Yeah Danny, he has two of them. The original Pearlie from the 2005 meet in England, plus an Ebony Mica he bought more recently.
To the best of my knowledge we now have eight Version Ls in Network ownership; Ron has two in California, Phil has two, Darren in Chester has one, Norman has one, I have one and Ed in Canada has an Ebony. My one is currently in England, so that makes 2 in the USA, 5 in England and one in Canada. It's possible some of our Japanese owners may have Version L cars, but I don't think they are registered. Also it's highly likely one or two others may be in NZ, possibly even Australia. I don't think Paddles car is CXD, but NZ is the more likely of the two locations due to more open import restrictions. Re: Black 4WS JDM at SoCal Nethercutt Meet
Wow! I never realised that one was Version L.
Are you sure? Possibly my memory is failing but I always reckoned that car had the ecsaine and faux leather seats. Am I remembering wrong? Has Norman got full leather? Joe |

Here's a few pics. Sorry about the delay, I somehow missed this thread last night. I wasn't sure if Ron had intended to keep this one secret even longer.;)

Hopefully someone else grabbed a pic along with the Toyo wheel chalks. |
Re: Black 4WS JDM at SoCal Nethercutt Meet
Beautiful car Ron. Do you have JDM stereo installed and hooked up to the steering wheel buttons?

Re: Black 4WS JDM at SoCal Nethercutt Meet
K dub, thanks for posting pics :D
The nose-to-nose picture represents the extreme of SVX production, The first-production-year Ebony '92 JDM Version L represents the ultimate in Subaru SVX technology with 4WS and VTD, as close to concept as possible , While rojorocket's immaculate last-production-year Ebony '97 US LSi represents the ultimate perfection and refinement of the entire SVX production :) |

The Ebony JDM VL is shod with TOYO TIRES excellent VERSADO LX luxury touring tire :D, as is my Pearl LS-L .
I'll start a separate thread on the TOYOs, but I can say for certain, I am greatly impressed, best combination for touring I have ever driven on an SVX! |
