Dogs

having tears in my eyes right now remembering the dogs I've had to say good bye to over the years, makes me think that we are the stupidest of animals on the earth... why did we choose to become so attached to animals that only live 1/10th of our lifespan??? If we were smarter we'd have picked turtles....from Galpagos... (over 100 years...) My thoughts are with you friend... Just think of the life you gave your friend... and how happy it was to see you everytime... no matter what ...

SHE ISNT DEAD! IT WASNT THE TUMOR! TUrns out she's having a tiny bit of a back problem; an inflamed disc. WE got her medicine and she should be better for at least another month or so. WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so, I take it all back. :D Just kidding, of course. Glad to know your friend will be with you for a while yet.

Dog Not Gone

I"m glad to hear your dog is better. My 3 year old lab is the best buddy anyone could ever ask for. Couldn't imagine losing him anytime soon. Best of luck to you and yours. John

Awesome news! I'm so happy for you. My 2 dogs have pulled that routine on me numerous times over the years (dachshunds are notorious for their back problems) and have been close to being put down a few times each. They've always managed to pull out of it and are pretty much the same as ever...just slower due to age now.

Consider yourself blessed and as long as the tumors hold off she may be around for longer than anticipated. Just don't let her jump off any furniture or do something stupid to her back. Give her a week or two of crate rest to force her to be still so it can heal. Also lot's of love is always the best medicine ;)

love them while they're here with you. Big hugs everyday.
I find myself staying home some nite just to chill with my dogs ( I dont see them all day due to being at work 6 days a week) Mine are 10 and 12 yrs old and slowing down too with age. I spoil the piss out of them though.
take care....
