Just wonder has anyone ever bought from half.com for textbooks? I am looking to save money by buying used books I don't need a brand spanking new book for 190 when I can get it used for 50 or 60 dollars. Thanks for input.

I have and its a good site. I can usually sell the books back to the school for more then I paid too :D

I have used half.com to do exactly what Davestone did. In fact, in Spring 07 I made 20 dollars on a book. Just be careful because sometimes shippers on half use media mail which takes FOREVER to come in the mail.

I do the same as well. I actually just sold some texts back to the bookstore yesterday.

I also used bigwords.com as a search engine spider to price out which vendor had the cheapest books. Thank god this fall is my last semester :D :cool:

damn! why didnt i see this post before?!?!? i just spent 4 to 5 hundred bucks to have the school find me books, it was a free service but im sure they dont care how much the books are since its your money they are spending!

i guess there is always next year.
