can anybody tell me what a reasonable price to rebuild a tranny for my 92 awd would be. just want to know what im in for before i let it go for parts. thanks

Since I think you have a differential problem too (???), it's more than just a tranny rebuild.

Contact Mike at Kerven Subaru and see what they would charge - don't forget to ask about before and after pricing regarding a core charge.

At a local (to me) & independent shop it was 1600 if I did the pull & replace, about 2200 if they did it all. But that was just the tranny part, the differential is a different matter and can add around 450 in parts alone.
