Anyone know where I can order the SVX badges that are on the side of the car (rear spoiler). My car used to have them, but the guy that had the car before me took them off. I kind of like the way they look on the car, and was thinking about putting them back on.

Thanks.

svx badges

You can get those from a dealer or Subaruparts.com.
I have the part #'s at home and can post them tonight, if someone else doesn't have them at hand.

vettn 03-02-2001 11:42 AM

cool, thanks.

Rev Hard 03-02-2001 12:00 PM

Also ......

Anyone have any interest in a SVX JDM hood badge?

I know a guy that could import them... prolly get a better rate if we bring a few in.....

I've got one, and it looks way better than the "Plieades Badge." For those of you who don't know what they look like, go here:

Thanks.....

For the pic Randy... do you remember what you payed for it?

PAUL!

svxxx26 03-02-2001 12:43 PM

That's OK, Randy - I'll handle this question. Don't want you to pad your numbers any more then you have to! ;)

Now, what was the question?

svxxx26 03-02-2001 12:44 PM

Oh yeah, the price of the cool Japanese hood badges.

$50.00 is what we paid on our deal - I think it was well worth it.

Aredubjay 03-02-2001 12:45 PM

$50.00 + $5.00 P/H, I believe. Yep, well worth the price. If we got another group deal together, I might be tempted to buy another one.

SVX SIDEBADGES/HOOD EMBLEM

The SVX embossed emblem for the side panel is part no. J1210PS040. The price at subaruparts.com is $14.37 each ($28.74/pair) plus $6.50 shipping

The Japanese hood emblem is part no. 93060PA030. Vin Scimone ordered a few of them last year and charged us $50.00 each plus shipping. Dayle at motorsportswarehouse also ordered some (in chrome and also gold) He sold what he had orders for for $65.00 each and put his leftovers on ebay.

svxcess 03-02-2001 12:57 PM

Rev Hard:

I have also been in touch with japaneseparts.com. They can order the hood emblem for $46.60 plus shipping from Japan.

They also have the chrome 97 grille for $434.00 plus shipping. The Japanese-spec center taillight panel is also available at $322.00. (This panel says Alcyone SVX in the center in dark letters instead of Subaru SVX

Their website is: www.japaneseparts.com

Does your importer/ friend have a competitive price?

Rev Hard 03-02-2001 01:04 PM

I will check....

of course part numbers will be a great help....

PAUL!

svxxx26 03-02-2001 02:03 PM

Man, I would love to have one of those chrome '97 grilles - and of course the Alcyone rear center piece.
Unfortunately they're a little pricey for me "right now".

I would like to get another hood emblem - if nothing else, I can use it to make a cool display stand for the upcoming scale model.

Aredubjay 03-02-2001 02:10 PM

I was going to use the stock badge for my display -- but, it might dwarf the model. :)

rufus 03-02-2001 02:58 PM

I want one...

If you guys are serious about getting a group order together for the hood ornaments, I would love to get in on it. Thanks for the link to that site, I am going to hop over there now and see if they can get their hands on one of those "Boxer" engine covers as well.

Rev Hard 03-02-2001 03:02 PM

Bower engine cover?

Pic? Link? is it any different than stock?

PAUL!

svxxx26 03-02-2001 03:23 PM

BOXER cover

If you do find out about the "BOXER" cover, let us know. I sent the japaneseparts.com site an e-mail requesting info on it, but never got a reply.

svxxx26 03-02-2001 03:27 PM

BTW, Paul - the BOXER cover is pictured in the R&T Guide as one of the prototype engine intake covers. Someone else is supposed to have one over here in the states, and apparently that design was used on the japanese models.
It could be just a rumour though . . .

Rev Hard 03-02-2001 05:25 PM

i want a picture

post it or email it to me at
svxcrx@netzero.net
thank you

Hood Emblems

Put me down for a hood ornament, also.

svxxx26 03-02-2001 09:15 PM

BOXER cover

Paul, I haven't got my scanner working at home yet, so I'll try to take a digital picture. If that doesn't pan out, I'll scan the pic at work Monday.

In the meantime, it's basically the same cover that sits toward the rear of the engine, where ours says "H-6", the other one says "BOXER".

Aredubjay 03-02-2001 10:15 PM

There was a guy at the Reading Meet last year that had one of the "Boxer" covers. Also, a person in (I think) New Zealand who has a Japanese Spec car says the "Boxer" cover came on their car. Soo . . . no rumor. 'Tis true -- I saw the one in Reading, first hand. And, if you want to see more than three or four SVXes in one place at one time, you should come to the meet (April 6-8, Holiday Inn, Morgantown PA -- See the "MEET ALERT" thread for details).

deligeds 03-03-2001 07:25 AM

hood ornament

I would also go in for the hood ornament. I've had those awful paint chips on my hood touched up 3 times now, and it may be time this summer to get the whole hood repainted. Might as well put a stylish new svx badge on at the same time.

While I'm on the subject, any pointers on hood repainting? Also, did that c/f hood order ever come to fruition?

Aredubjay 03-03-2001 10:38 AM

I think they needed one more order for the c/f hood. You could be the one! Check with "rev hard" he da man!

Rev Hard 03-03-2001 02:13 PM

C/f hoods and other things

Yes we DID do c/f hoods but if you still want one let me know. it is not to late.
Now as you may have seen I am getting the Front bumpers done.
As we speak i am talking about importing JDM pieces with my 'supplier' (sorry vendors cant give away dealers)

I am a busy man. I am going to be busy for a while.
I AM NOT GOING TO STOP TILL ALL THE SVX PARTS YOU WANT ARE ON THE MARKET!

(steps down off high horse)
*shamed*

ok i went a lil crazy there lemme know if you want a c/f hood though......

PAUL!

deligeds 03-03-2001 04:19 PM

c/f hood details

I may very well want to get in on the hood purchase. Let me see if I have the details right: ~$625 delivered, and it includes a scoop? The only other question that I would have before confirming an order would regard the c/f surface. I assume that most people who are in on the order like the c/f look, and don't plan on painting the hood. I might fall into that category as well, but I wouldn't be sure until I saw it. Does anyone know if c/f body parts take well to a professional paint job?

svxxx26 03-06-2001 06:31 AM

BOXER cover

Paul - I sent you an e-mail of a scan I made of the BOXER engine cover. Hope it will do, the pic was smaller than I thought.

RRX 03-09-2001 04:15 PM

Other SVX spoilers

I noticed that on some japenese svx web sites, they have larger stock spoilers. Has anyone found out about how to get one of those. I kinda think my stock spoiler is to low.
