Wow!...now that is CHERRY!
|
I would agree with you on that one. :) :) I like the black with the red. ;) :)
|
Nice and shiny. I wish mine was like that.... BTW that color is rare even in Japan. I don't remember seeing even one.
|
Nice colour.
Nice car too. A VL with all the options fitted. It's very rare to see a sunroof on a JDM SVX, and the airbag too. Current Price: 398000 JPY = $3361 US Desired Price: 458000 JPY = $3868 US 3 days left, 0 bids so far Quote:

Deciding
I am still trying to decide about the black, but I sure love the color of red. It has so much more depth than our reds.

Thanks Phil
I have never seen so many pictures of one car. It is in lovely condition, I would not mind buying it. Maybe another time. Joe:) |
I normally don't like red cars except 99-04 mustangs, most ferrari's, and that car with a black top.
|
The description says the colour is "Lead Mica" (Red Mica?) which is colour code #947 according to JamSVX's site.
Code 947 is known as "Ruby Pearl Metallic" in the other parts of the world. http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au...des_subaru.htm |

In Japan it is rare, and is known as Lead Mica. I cling to the belief this is a mistake in translation somewhere back along the line, it should be Red Mica. The paint code is 247, and it is known in Europe as either Red Mica or Swiss Ruby Mica. In reality the camera taking these pictures has made it much more "cherry", deeper than it is. There is a more pink tinge to it than appears here. If you look up US paint codes, this colour appeared on some Legacys in the early 90s. Over here, I have seen it on pre-2000 Foresters. It's a very pretty colour, even if not a cherry as can be seen here. Check Bipa's locker, her car in Germany is this colour. Joe:) |
Doesn't seem to be any paint fade. Normally a red car of that age would be several different shades by now.

The paint seems to be in fabulous condition. Check my locker Here for a colour comparison with two other cars that have excellent paint. Joe;) |
My ex and I had a mica ruby (or ruby mica?) Suby GL hatchback, but man, even new, the color sure didn't have that depth. That's one beautiful SVX.

It looks like there are some very nice cars in Japan
|
droooooool
|
thats a very nice red colour.
car looks like it's really good too |
Darren in England has a very nice JDM Ebony, Version L with the 4WS also.
This one has only 70K in kilometres on it and is Version L with options and in the best colour combination. If I was not financially strapped this minute I would look to import that car, it has everything that I would need in a showroom SVX, right miles, right condition, right model, perfect colour. As Chris says, drooooooool!!! :) :D |
I have always wanted to use those colors on mine... it's like an eyegasm!
|
didn't it say that it won't go internationally for the car?
|
<<<didn't it say that it won't go internationally for the car?>>>
That would not surprise me. Most Japanese Yahoo sales put that in. I think it is a Japanese thing, a cultural thing. They live in a Red Tape hell-hole, and would rather not be bothered by extra paperwork. If purchasing anyway, I would use a local agent to buy for me. That way it gets around the No International Sales bit, and you have the bonus of getting somebody to check the condition for you, and you don't buy sight unseen. Of course you pay a commission, but it is still a safer way to do it. Joe |

Looks very cheery all right Tom, for a silver car. :D
Looks very nice actually. :D :D |

Translation of "L"ead Mica is "R"ed Mica. :D :D Same thing with our wheels when they are put on backwards L is for Light and the other side is Reft. :D :D |
Do you think that's collect?
Babel begins to make sense. :) |

Don't mean to digress here but Tom, I painted the center bar below the grille on my silver black. Looks like the touch up below on yours. What do you think?

A Ruby JDM 91 popped up on Autotrader today for 4995. I think it might be the same one you saw in Devon. It's a Liskeard (cornwall) phone number. http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www...00709272617609 Phil. |

He's not asking much for a '91 car, is he?  He must have paid the dealership heavy money for the car. It has a lot of spec. I wonder if it is a CXD? Is that only 9 miles away from your folks? Maybe you could call to have a look?;) :D Joe |
