I'm really glad this crap is over :eek: . The leauge (players) should of with out a doubt ,Taken the deal in Feb. :( . But I'm still glad to have the HNL back :D :D LA Kings Fan Forever And I have a real soft spot for the Pitts. Penguins, Love Mario, Wish I could Play at the NHL leval at his age :o Oh I Am his age Scary :eek: . Couldn't if I wanted to!! ;) NHL Players are the most conditioned athletes next to Soccer players! :rolleyes:Holland in 2006 :D Oh did i mention i'm dutch ;)

Man, I'm SO glad hockey is coming back soon! Best sport to watch on TV if you ask me. I like my CFL football (go Riders!), but hockey is just so much more exciting to watch. Growing up in Victoria, BC I have become a Canucks fan. I hope they can put together something decent next season.

GO Devils!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was great to see Pittsburgh get Crosby. I can't imagine hockey without the Pens. I hope he can save hockey there like Super Mario did in the 1980's.

Hockey? I thought they folded the NHL up just like MLB did a few years back b/c they couldn't stop whining about $$$.

OH! come on now be NICE :p ! You know that hockey players are problely one of the best conditioned and the game is pretty tough! A superstar hockey player will make about $3-4 million a year( my best guess on the league average is prob. about$700K). Star Baseball player Makes about $8mill a year :cool: ,Oh and by the way SHAQ makes $20 MILL a year :eek: :eek: So you see theyweren't whining they just want to make a living ;)

I am being nice and did I say anything about the players but then again they lived just fine last year on ummm.. no money. Lets see you do that for a year. :eek:

i read in the paper a few weeks ago that Gretzky saw him play when he was 15 and said Crosby would break all his records. :eek:

I think he'll be good but as you said a lot hype! He'll have to pay his dues, I guess the hype will die dowm and he'll have a slow season! come on he's just a kid and won't take the pens to the playoffs by himself! I think all the hype is overconfidence! they will have to be careful! they did make lot of nice moves in the trade department :D . I think they have a real good chance to make the playoff this year( and what a turnaround that would be ) Stanley cup will be a NO :( But I can only hope ;)

let's see if he can score a goal right off the bench - on his first shot of his first shift of his first NHL game - like Lemieux did. ;) :D

i wouldn't rule out a Stanley Cup - we have a lot of good players and anything can happen if they make it to the playoffs. supposedly Crosby is a precision passer, so him and Lemieux on the same line with Recchi storming the net could get real scary for opposing teams.

So Far today not much activity!, But the LA KINGS picked up Valeri Bure and made a 5 year deal with Frolov(thank you Dave Taylor for not letting go of frolov) :D :D . The Kings are famous for letting there franchise players go :mad: IE:Martin Gelinas and the list would be to long the post :rolleyes: .Since Pallfy left I was getting really worried about Frolov :eek: but I feel much better now :D :D

Hey! the season hasn't even started yet ;) .With the salery cap and all the major player moves. I think where in for a tight and fun season(including new rules like the shoot out). I said before the Flyers look real good on paper,maybe this is thier year :confused:.

What gets me most about Philly fans is this mentality! Each year they set themselves up for the heartache!!! Gosh I love it! :D

Update! the LA Kings Have done Squat so far this week! :( I was really hoping they'd pick up CUJO! no such luck! i'm still not sure why LA is so cheap :mad:

Devils got Mogilny back. He was dynamic when he was with them before leaving. They also resigned Gomez. The only hit NJ has taken so far is losing Niedermeyer to Anaheim. Plus they have the best goalie in all of hockey.

Anaheim is a fluke, I don't care if they have both Neids' It won't make much of a diff. On paper I don't think they will even make the playoffs :rolleyes:

Well It's been a couple months since we talked about Hockey!! So here it is ,, My Kings are in first ,My second fav is the Pens :eek: (big trouble)Anaheim dumped Fedrov to the Blue Jackets :eek: :eek: (how would you like to be an Allstar and go to one of the worst teams in th leauge),Philly, Montreal, and Carolina are doing great!!(notice I didn;t say Detroit-THAT GOES WITHOUT MENTION) THEY WILL FAIL IN THE PLAYOFFS AS USUAL!! :D ;) I think the new rules are great ! the game is so much faster and open , and I also like that they have no more ties!! :D :p any comments !! :p

Scoring looks like its up....i love the idea of a 5 min overtime and then a shoot out. I think thats a great idea!

Just an update !! :p I went to the Ducks game vs the Avs last night which of course the Ducks lost! :eek: I just want to say that Neidermyer is a bust so far ( not impressed ) for his pay I should see something special! Another bust is Pronger WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY not worth the cash! :cool: (sorry Edmonton)!! I also have to say Sackic is still awesome to WATCH! If anyone watches the Kings tonight look for Mike Weaver(mike Who) Yeah I said Mike Weaver, He gets paid the leauge min. $450k ,but he will impress! He plays a great position game, and I'm sure he will get a raise next season!! The final score Kings 4 Avs 2 :D :D
