Where can I buy a PWR Radiator!???
 

I'm in need of a new radiator after the lovely wreck so I'd like to just replace her with a PWR, anyone know where I can get my hands on one?????

PWR bumped their price significantly! they want 635 for one! anyone know of anyone who has one that they want to get rid of? or know where to get one for cheaper!?

I just got off of the phone with PWR and to "The Distributers" they are having a sale!
If the lady that I spoke with is correct I can ship one to icingdeath88
in Tampa for $425.00 (cash or check) INCLUDING SHIPPING!
This is the best price in YEARS!
If it is PayPal I have to charge a $13.00 "shop fee".
If the pricing is wrong I appologise ahead of time.

Damn, that's tempting. My radiator "seems" fine but it would be nice to get a more reliable radiator with a better tranny cooler all in one shot. I know someone once did a before and after test on tranny and engine temps with this radiator but I don't recall the details. Anyone remember if the internal tranny cooler kept the temperatures cool enough. I have a 96 so that may have an impact as well. It would only make sense if I could skip installing an external cooler.

Feel free to search, but as I remember it dropped the transmission temperature about 20°f on an SVX wirh a bad headgasket on
"headgasket hill".
The run is about eight miles up a 7°-8° mountain.

You still have to cut the lower rubber doghnuts to half of their original thickness, get a WRX round overflow tank radiator...
But the fans bolt up, and the hoses reach..
And they perform WAY better than stock!:)

Well, I asked for this for XMAS and the wife shot me down.:(

I think this is a nice mod for the car as it brings down both the engine and tranny temps but she is a big fan of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy and especially at $425. With my luck, the original rad will crack right after XMAS!!! Women don't understand.......

Is this true? I was hoping for the wife to give in but if the deal is done then it doesn't matter and I can move on to a different request. Maybe I will ask for a modified TCU instead........

What I was not told was how few the US distributer of PWR radiators had.:o
I am still checking if they have any, even damaged units left.
I checked with the new distributer of PWR and they will be more than $800.00unless we can strike a group deal of ten or more.
From the sounds of it, even a group buy would be more than $600.00
I have been working on my own to come up with an all aluminum, two row, radiator that we can use, and have a couple of prototypes out there.

I will come up with something.

My radiator PWR is arrived this last week but lacks the inlet and outlet for the tranny cooler, they forgot to put them, i'm blue... :(

Sorry Nate, but I have to dissagree.
The one thing the PWR did best is work as a low restriction transmission cooler/warmer.
However at the current projected price of $695.00 plus shipping US we will need to find an alternative.
