matt:

we're homebrewers too. our current batch is an amber ale that should be ready to drink this week. we're going to "dry hop" our next batch. :D

I can sip down a 2 liter of my homebrew and feel fine the next morning. I am making about 6%. :D

Alan you should try it - it isn't hard at all the main thing is cleanliness and the waiting pays off. The main downside is most other beer loses its appeal but I know you'll be able to fight through that. :p The cool thing abut it is you control the alcohol content ;)

i had a homebrew kit one time, but it seemed like a big PITA, so i went out and bought a case. :D

Suby Fan 06-20-2006 01:42 PM

shelfy 06-20-2006 02:22 PM

Cool! more homebrewers. You should get together with Earl - he homebrews also.

The amber ale sounds good. I have a pale ale in the fermenter now.

Hops make a huge difference. I haven't dry hopped yet but I always add them to the wort.

it'll be our first attempt at it. one of our favourite local microbrews is dry hopped. it's called "hazed & infused." here's their website if you care to browse:

heh heh - an 80.
I'm lucky to finish a malt 40 with out passing out. Something something malt liquor something something drunk fast.

I remember (somewhat foggy) Old English Ice back whan I was in school. Had a big tiger on the back of the label and I was usually crosseyed by the time I uncovered it. My roomate would usually finish his and pry mine out of my passed out clutches and finish it as well.

i always thought malt liquor tasted like ass, with the exception of ice cold Mickey's.

its a shame kids dese days don't get to experience the old style pull-off lids. nothing like being piss drunk and trying to get those razor-sharp lids off, slicing up your hands and fingers. http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/fil...hark/24960.gif
