The strongest SUBARU transmission was the STi version 5 and 6 tranny... That is right... The 6MT (from sources that I have within SOA :D:D:D ) is actually built for Subaru by a company in europe. And yes, it is the strongest thing so far :):)

Oh... and you can get a brand new STi tranny from Subaru in Canada for about $5,600cdn

Found a posting about different gearing options for STi's at http://www.imprezawrxsti.com/postnuk...wtopic&t=14094
The last post is from a SoCal vendor called King of Imports which apparantly can obtain the parts necessary to convert a USDM WRX STi to have JDM fifth and sixth gear ratios, since these two gears are tied together. Read the thread above for more info.

I sent a few e-mails to them and they should be able to get the parts, not sure about cost yet though...
