Any idea what the cuts on the hood and passenger side by the fuel cap are about?

With the interior melted they most likely get the hood or gas cap open. To scrap a car the gas tank has to be empty and perforated or removed.

Hi all.
I had a 1992 SVX bought brand new in 92. Pearl and black. Just found (and bought) the same car. 103,000 miles. Needs some work. I think the diffs are shot. Tranny was rebuilt already. Timing belt and water pump just done. I'm 3rd owner. Very excited to have an SVX again!

I'm newly registered but not new to the site. I've owned three Subarus, the SVX, a 2005 Legacy Limited Wagon, and a 1999 Legacy Sus. I currently daily drive the SUS, it's amazing.:D
As for my SVX, I bought it three years ago for $500 in Lincoln, NE, Fairly clean car - Few dents and scrapes, some paint chips. It is a one owner and the old owner just so happened to be one of the owners of the gold course I work at, he had nothing but good things to say about these cars.
I have already swapped in a differential and transmission from a Forester.
Bought it for $500 here in Lincoln, NE three years ago. It's been driven off and on (desperately needs new struts). Trying to get the funds together for some quality struts!
