Attachment 7014 New SVX owner as of Feb. 06. I knew NOTHING about this spiffy little ride until I bought it so I'm learning as I go. (I'm learning that parts are expensive mostly:rolleyes: )

Thank God I opted to pay an extra grand and got a 100,000 mile/5year warranty for all of the mechanical stuff because I just found out that I need a new power steering rack and radiator. Ouch!

I'm having fun though and love going through drive thru restaurants and seeing the expressions on the employees faces while they hand me my stuff through the windows~~!

Jeanne,
Welcome!! And what year is your new ride? And great that you opted for (and were able to do so!) the 100,000 warranty! And how about a pic or two of the SVX?

Again, welcome, and I am certain you will "enjoy the ride" !!!!!:D

You might want to consider buying the PWR aftermarket aluminum radiator, particularly if you plan on keeping the car for a while. It will cost more than a new OEM radiator, but adds critical cooling capacity for the tranny that tends to overheat. There is a seller on Ebay that is offering them for a fair "Buy It Now" price.

Hi everyone, I owned an SVX a couple years ago and sold it. I miss the car a lot and am wanting to buy another. I am an automotives teacher so I am looking for one with a bad trans in the NW.

The question remains of whether he actually sells them or just lets people win auctions and keep their money without really responding to anything.

Hello everyone.

My name is Dave and I live in Bozeman, MT. I just joined a couple weeks ago after purchasing my 92 SVX 5spd. I picked up with car with 182k on it from a guy out in Seattle. I've wanted one of these cars for so long I was willing to go the distance to pick it up. The 17 hour bus ride there was hell, but the 700+ mile trip back in the SVX was bliss. I was looking for a practical and fun sports car to have in the mountains and the SVX is it hands down. You'll be hearing more from me I'm sure. I've been in forums for a couple of the other fun cars i've owned (2 MX6 turbos and a 200SX turbo) so I know the benefits of group discussion. I've got a couple of lights on the dash right now so I'm sure you'll see a couple posts in the tech section. I've posted some car porn for you guys below. Enjoy.
