Yes - mine also has the IR key / with light around the drivers-side key hole area & the morse-code door handle openers - only took me 10 years to discover all 3 (as I did not have owners manual till 4 year ago).
Mine also has rear deck de-ioniser, blower - it is wired into the fan relay (under glovebox - sort of a t-junction connector). |

Thank you so much John. You put a great big dent into this project. I think it is going very well. I learned a couple new things from those posts :D
A better pic of the deionizer would be GREAT. (we have a small stock shot right now) I dont know there is anything to take a picture OF for the morse handles (there has to be a better name for this) James |

Re: unfinished oem rarities list. Help me out you svx crazy people.
lhopp's glass sunroof looks like an aftermarket unit, albeit probably professionally installed. Nothing wrong with that... but it isn't the same as the factory unit, in configuration.
Most of the time when the rubber welt is on the roof side, it is an aftermarket unit. If the roof skin is stamped with a down-turned flange into the steel of the roof, and the seal is on the moving panel, regardless of whether the moving panel is glass or steel itself, those are usually factory installed pieces. It is hard to stamp and finish the edge of the steel roof skin of the car after the manufacturing process... so the rubber seal goes on the cut edge of the metal roof skin, when the roof is simply cut for the aftermarket unit. Maybe that has changed more recently, but most aftermarket units try to seal to the roof skin that is just cut away. The previous rumors were of a glass alternate panel, that directly replaces the steel panel in the SVX's factory installed sunroof system. The rumor was that a 90's era Impreza coupe in Australia had a sunroof with a glass panel, the panel being identical dimensions and attachment to the SVX's factory sunroof system, and swapping the glass panel into the SVX's sunroof system works. We are still looking for confirmation. |

I have never claimed there was an OEM glass sunroof and I know there was not. This was a great alternative for people that wanted a sunroof on L and LE models. Lee |
Re: unfinished oem rarities list. Help me out you svx crazy people.
It looks a good job to me Lee.
Also I would suspect the fact that it seals to the rubber gasket externally makes it less susceptible to leaks than the OEM one. Joe |
Re: unfinished oem rarities list. Help me out you svx crazy people.
I am thinking I might need a new rubber welt that isn't shrunk or collapsed for mine, as it leaks pretty easily, and the roof leaves a gap at the front or the rear whenever it is closed... and floods the spare tire well...
So I would hope that a fully welted aftermarket unit that seals well would be pretty good. |
Re: unfinished oem rarities list. Help me out you svx crazy people.
I was to lazy to read the entire post, did someone mention the CD changer for the trunk? or the blank plate for the trunk mount led. or the BBS's or the shorty center console and 1 piece rear carpet.

Re: unfinished oem rarities list. Help me out you svx crazy people.
The above sunroof was not that of what I mentioned. I can confirm that I HAVE seen the early impreza panel in person. It went to Reading V. Unfortunately, I did not snap pics....Its on my list of things to get some day!
The short console... forgot about that one! I honestly have NEVER seen pics of that.I would think it would work in USDM cars... (havent looked at my garaged SVX in months to remember) Also never heard of the blank plate... CD changer pics would be appreciated. Info and links! Info and links! (just saw this post get linked to from another thread. :D glad its useful) |
