They usually don't. But not all of them do. Just like lawyers and doctors are supposed to follow code of ethics. But they don't. That's what makes this reality, and not utopia.

I noticed you didn't offer a retort to any of my points. Please think about that, and reread them. Maybe you'll learn a few things. This country is far from 'just' and 'fair'. The rules are meant to serve us, and I do not humor 'stupid rules'.

geez guys ... no need to resort to calling each other stupid. just using a little imagination here for fun. i doubt anyone here would do any of the above because it just wouldn't work. correct me if i'm wrong, i thought we were just joking here.

Seraph 11-15-2003 01:45 AM

Yepp we all should lighten up. Trust me, if it was not a big joke, I'd asked the mods to lock the thread. I still think it's a big joke.

Noir 11-15-2003 01:49 AM

since we're still joking here, i think i'd like to mount a browning 50 calibur semi auto on the roof of an svx. anyone selling a junky svx that i can test it on? :D

i've seen a light tank rolling down the street here with a browning on it. i think it was the same one i saw in autotrader a few months ago. it was going for $50k.

<harry picks up the paper and starts looking for another job to support his svx and light tank needs.>

guarnteed...no one would attempt to cut you off with that baby mounted on :D. get a positioning device with a targeting device to ensure cabin accuracy :D.

Wow! I just read your message.

I still think the best solution is to get a gun permit for your car.

If people like that get next to you again, start scratching your temple with the tip of your Desert Eagle and look at them with your eyes wide open like an attentive Bruce Lee.

I would think they would back off. If not, they deserve to be shot in the kneecaps.

Yes, I'm psycho.

I hate to change the direction of this post (well, then again, sometimes change is good), but I'm curious about something: How many of you get tailgated on a regular basis? The reason I ask is because it seems to happen to me all the time in the SVX, and reading these posts make me wonder if this happens to other owners as well.

The amout of people who feel the need to tailgate seems to drop drastically when I'm in my other car. A relative of mine said once he thinks it's people trying to get a better look to try and figure out what kind of car it is; I just tend to think folks are either in a rush or just not the sharpest splinters in the barn door. :)

Seraph 11-15-2003 09:01 AM

I get tailgated more in my SVX I think. But I have a solution for that. You see, I have a rear fog lights I can use. Which means out of the 4 red lights at the back, the 2 inner ones turn on and the person behind me normally thinks that I am about to stop and back off.

If that does not stop, I slow down, take the right most lane and call the cops.

Landshark 11-15-2003 09:28 AM

i like to heave a handfull of assorted change out the window at extreme tailgaters. :D

SHISVX 11-15-2003 09:39 AM

most ppl see the SVX and think fast car...and decide to tail gate it...i guess because if they go 5mph faster...they think they make great time...i dunno, i got tail gated a lot..

then again, maybe yous guys just drive like little ol' ladies!

i'd never tailgate a Ford Exploder - you never know when parts might fall off and hit your car. :D

You get tailgated because they want to check out the cute chick driving the car.

And I don't drive like a little ol' lady. I got a couple of members here who can prove that and some will not get in the car that I drive :D
