1992 SVX sold on BaT for $8400:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-subaru-svx-42/ Always like seeing what different color schemes look like on the SVX. Although I think I prefer it with the black top rather than one color for all. |

Re: Craigslist and other finds
On BaT just now 1996 Black (Ebony Mica over beige interior) LSi with 46K miles on it:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1996-subaru-svx-7/ Looks really nice. Currently at $3500 with 3 days left. |

P.S. They have a nice Subaru 360 listed also. |
Re: Craigslist and other finds
The ware'n'tear on the first few pictures is inline with that of my similar mileage 1992. The stains on the sun-visors? I imagine the sun-visors have been replaced and the staining didn't happen on that vehicle (I'd guess they where in storage before being brought into service on this vehicle). Looks like the passenger side sun-visor has been modified to stop it drooping. There is a picture of the 1992 service manuals and a 1996 supplemental, I assume they are included.
I would be more concerned about the transmission (did 1996s have better transmissions?) and has the timing belt/water-pump been replaced. Also, is the seller replacing the CV boot or CV axle, and if they are replacing the CV axle are they replacing the one on the other side. Still I get the feeling it won't break $10K, the market doesn't seem to supporting the prices we were seeing a year or two ago. |

Hopefully this car will fetch a lot more before end of auction. |
Re: Craigslist and other finds
The 46K miles BaT SVX sold for $7,100.
Not a bad price either way. I'm sure the new owner will be happy with it, and it wasn't a complete steal for the seller. |

Red '92 SVX with 30K miles:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1996-subaru-svx-9/ Current bidding at $7K, with 5 days left. And Huskymaniac is the lead bidder right now! Good luck with the bidding! |
Re: Craigslist and other finds
Beautiful car. Someone is about to take home a nice one!

Re: Craigslist and other finds
There's a few of us from here watching that auction.

Re: Craigslist and other finds
Reserve Not Met at $10925, which seems like a good price.
Hope they can work something out. |

Re: Craigslist and other finds
And the Polo green goes for $15K. Not bad!
If you are in the bay area, there is chance to own a Black "1992 Subaru SVX Ferrari Sportscar"!! Being offered at $9.5K in the Santa Cruz area: https://monterey.craigslist.org/cto/...734779034.html Two of the wheels are on correctly, and it comes with a car phone! |
Re: Craigslist and other finds
Another low mileage SVX (1992, 26K miles, white) on BaT:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-subaru-svx-46/ In 2021 the same one sold on BaT for $16150. But this time they are selling with the wheels on correctly, so maybe it will fetch a higher price this time around. |

Could be a nice car with only 87K on it, but it has some large dents in the rear. |
Re: Craigslist and other finds
The Pearl SVX on bring a trailer sold for $15k in the end. I am sure the new owner will be happy with the purchase.
Mean while, the Black SVX "Ferrari" has gone up to $6k. I wonder if it is scam, I'm sure I remember a similar add many years ago. And over in Europe, specifically Italy, there is another white SVX for sale. Looks really shiny in the pics, but I can't tell if they painted it original Pearl or some other white. Driven 159K km so far, LHD, and comes with the cool VIN ID number 002222. It is a no reserve auction ending in ~14hr, current high bid is 5750euros https://www.catawiki.com/en/l/833807...o-reserve-1992 Will be interesting it ends up fetching. |
Re: Craigslist and other finds
The Italian SVX went for 6500euros, which seems reasonable. I am sure the buyer will be happy.

Re: Craigslist and other finds
This ad caught my eye, 1997 (or maybe a 1996 sold in 1997) Green (custom?) L with 73k miles on it (salvage title, but not from damage), asking $6k around Sacramento California:
https://sacramento.craigslist.org/ct...775548800.html I always feel the mat gray interior trim on the L models ages much better than the fake wood on the higher end models. Recently BaT auctioned a 1992 Claret with 50k mile on it. Needs some things fixed but looks nice. Sold for $5390: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-subaru-svx-48/ |
Re: Craigslist and other finds
John's '96 Polo Green is in much better shape and my '97 Bordeaux Pearl is also in much better shape. Both of my cars have more milage than those.

1992 manual swap. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-subaru-svx-50/
Not my cup of tea but I do love the manual. 4:11 gearing...not so much. |
Re: Craigslist and other finds
First time I've seen an SVX for rent on Turo:
https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/un...svx-ls/3049019 I think I saw this one for sale a while ago. I want to say the seller was asking $10k-$12k for it but don't remember. Now you can rent it for $35 per day. |
