They are not programmable - they have about ten different patterns that you select from.

Here is the store where i got mine:
http://stores.shop.ebay.com/cissystores__W0QQ_armrsZ1

If you don't see a color you want, email them and ask them - that's how i found out they had the green lights.

You can do a search on Ebay for led lights:

Re: White Grille Lights for the Polo Machine

.

I decided that I would do this modification to the grille, only using bright white LEDS (5000-6000K superbright) from the same ebay seller HERE

After getting the particulars from Ed Del Monte "ZMan", I was ready to do this on my Polo. Time had gotten away from me and I never got around to doing it.

I called Ed and asked him if he would be willing to do this for me if I sent him my grille, scanner, etc. He readily agreed to do this and so I sent ithe grille out to him last Friday. It arrived by UPS at his house earlier today and just now he sent me a PM with a YouTube link to my finished grille, which he tested in his green SVX. I was not expecting it to be done so quickly!

I plan to set the pattern to be full on bright without any movement at all (see video at 2:48). It should be a perfect match for my HIDs and add more light to the front of the car. It should be legal, much the way that the old Mercury Sable was, only much improved. The LEDs are completely invisible inside the grille when off.

It's not rice, just tastefully different.

My sincere thanks to ZMan for giving me his time and expertise and doing such a superb job so quickly. He said it probably took me longer to pack my grille securely to ship than it did for him to do the mod.

Jan Hammer's "Crockett's Theme"

Nice music choice. One of my very favorites, and the cool, modern, smooth mood is quite fitting for SVX...

Nice job on the lights, as well. :D

John, thanks, the youtube links are great. The pic quoted in my post #40 doesn't open for me, just a little symbol with red square, a triangle and a circle. I must not have the right programming for your picture to open?

If left at the airport, the 'come-and-get-me' lights would probably still be working a week or two later, but the car wouldn't be at the airport
