Although, since it's missing the SVX pen, maybe you get the price down...

Wow, this one is beautiful! I live about 1.5 hours from philly when I’m home.

Low mileage cars are getting rare. Is it me or are values perking upwards on our cars?

And it's only an LS. Imagine if it was a real SVX!

Re: Craigslist and other finds

For 1992, there seems to be very little delta between LSi/LSL and LS, I've owned both. I would say that the 1992 LS had a nicer interior, the seat covers hold up better to wear and tear, other than that it's missing the sunroof (which is less things to go wrong/leak).

Two for the half price of one. They both may be parts cars; but being sold as a project. No real detail in the pictures; but could be a good buy at that price.

Also nearby, there is a high mileage 94. 170,000 miles!!

Nice looking JDM SVX for sale on the East Coast ($7000):
https://myrtlebeach.craigslist.org/c...896560217.html

I don't see much appeal is paying more to have the steering wheel on the wrong side, but I know some folks really love these.

I thought after have 14 SVX I would know most of the ? to ask before buying another but got screwed for not asking if it was the original color did not think to ask. was looking for a laguna blue one in the north west could not find one wanted to do a complete restore. for a keeper love the color. found one almost into cali. in oregon 500 cost me 1800 to get it picked up and transported to spokane washington needed upper door glass and windshield I have those. and seeing how it was going to get a 6 speed did not care it was front wheel drive have rear sub frame but. when it got here my blood boiled he did not state it was a red one repainted blue and you could tell on the edges so it was not like he did not know. and I did not think to ask.:barf::(:(

Oh no! So sorry to hear that. I would be seriously upset. Hope the project is still a go, or worth it to you. Sometimes I think nothing is what it seems.

Best regards,
Ian.

Re: Craigslist and other finds

May hobby is fantasizing about owning too many SVX. Here's my latest round up from craigslist across the USA. I'm noticing more low mileage cars with more reasonable price tags this time around:

A 1997 with under 100K on it for $2800:
https://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/cto...889870855.html

A 1992 with a custom "metallic burgundy" paint job for $5000 (110K miles on it), it's always nice see how non-factor paint colors look (although I'm strictly Pearl, Black or Silver myself):
https://newyork.craigslist.org/stn/c...894458277.html

Another 1997 with 80K on it going for $3950:
https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/c...888198887.html

A 1994 with 80K for $3500 (burgundy & FWD):
https://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/cto...901575686.html

A 1995 "L" with 78K for $2495 (polo green?):
https://lasvegas.craigslist.org/ctd/...901655596.html

A 1992 Pearly with 57K on it for $7499 (this is one I'd consider if I didn't already have a 1992 Pearly with less mileage on it):
https://grandrapids.craigslist.org/c...903523917.html

Nice to see a few nice looking examples with lower mileage that aren't asking unrealistic money.

Cheers,
Ian.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Not sure if it's useful, but I came across these blue examples:
https://poctra.com/1996-SUBARU-SVX-L...H3/SCRANTON-PA
https://poctra.com/1994-SUBARU-SVX-L.../HUNTSVILLE-AL
https://poctra.com/1994-SUBARU-SVX-L...Q0M/SUFFOLK-VA

I'm not familiar with poctra.com (seems kind of like copart.com, but for donated cars?). The two 1994s appear to have been listed over year, maybe they would accept offers... And from seeing the engine bay shots, they do look like original blues.

Good luck!
Ian.

Re: Craigslist and other finds

The first one listed is a 97 and it says that it is FWD. This is suspicious because 97s were only AWD..

Re: Craigslist and other finds

the second one is a 92 and is not an original color.

Also, it say's it has 4 cylinders. I'd guess the poster doesn't know the car. FWD fuse is possibly in as well...
