Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
It was for sale for $2,200 a while back, is that what you paid for it? If so, that was a good buy. :) A little work and you can have that one in very good shape. ;)

Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
Hi
I am a big Subie fan (I have an '08 STi) and always wanted an SVX. Just bought a well worn black '97 LSi with 91k miles. It's a project for me and my sons for this summer and we're looking forward to making it much more presentable! :D Tom |
Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
Welcome to the addiction! We should all have a local meet soon, as I have yet to make one and there a quite a few new people popping up here in the Seattle area. With all the nice weather, it may be time for a maintenance meet. Hopefully my car will be running again.

Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
That would be great! But I might have to drive my other Subie if I don't have the SVX running better. We'll see after tomorrow when the guys at Smart have a look at her!

Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
Tom - welcome to the site. It is great that we have another member in the area. We are a pretty active group and we have our annual Dabob Seafood Meet at the end of July. I hope you can make that one. Let us know if you have any questions and we will help as much as we can. Hope to see you soon. :)
I got your car registered and you now have your registration badge. :) |
Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
I saw a claret today parked outside the Everett Event Center. Tinted windows, 5-spoke wheels, and a '97 grill (or I guess it could have been a 97 car). Very clean. I was extremely impressed (and jealous). Anyone know who it could belong to?

Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
I would guess it is MacGyver's. He lives near by, so it could be his. He has custom wheels as well. :)

Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
All I know is it was damn sexy, and I am assuming whoever it belonged to knows someone in the 2010 graduating class at Cascade High School. (graduation was last night at comcast arena).

Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
By the way Earl, what are the details on the Dabob seafood meet? Although I do not eat seafood generally, I would love to make a meet.

Where is Dabob? I hope to get the car reasonably presentable by then! A quick question- where's a good place in WA to buy parts? I was trying to take apart my rear side marker lens (full of water) and snapped the end off! Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about the water anymore! tom |
Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
I think I may have a lens. You could just come pick it up. That way, no shipping.

I've been spotted! :o Thank you for the kind words! But she needs a lot of work in the body/paint department. But for a 220,000+ daily driver she still gets a lot of love from me so maybe that shows through. :D I actually work on the in-house video crew at the Comcast Arena (just part-time, mostly the hockey/lacrosse games). We had been working all the graduations, ending with the big triple header of all 3 Everett schools on the 19th - the end of my 2 week nightmare! But at least some of that extra income can go in the SVX fund. Hope to meet all you "new" guys soon! I was at Smart Service in Mukilteo Friday and Andrew drove up so I got to meet him and see his beauty. :) |
Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
Well your SVX was most certainly worth an honorable mention. My girlfriend literally had to pull me away because I could not leave on my own. :D
Ahhh....I'm such a geek |
Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
Sorry it took me so long to find this thread!
Howdy! I'm Galen, and I've been addicted to the products of Fuji H.I. for almost 10 years now. I have owned at one point or another at least one 'ru from each decade, except a 360. The stable is pretty deep ATM, but since I picked up my '96 Ebony about a month ago, I will be thinning the herd. Despite being my DD, I drive it as little as possible. (Gotta keep it under 100K miles!) My car is the typical "little-old-lady" story. Her husband said she couldn't have an SVX when they came out, so, when she devorced him, her first purchase was obviously an SVX! Never smoked in, never been through a machine car wash, original tranny, blah, blah, blah. It is, by far, the nicest car I've ever owned. Can't wait to meet some other SVX owners and see everyone's cars! |
Re: SVXWN - NW Area Group
Welcome to the network, Galen. If you have not done so yet, you should register your car here and you will get a badge. Are you planning on keeping your car completely stock or slight mods or what?
What area are you from? Seattle, up north, Tacoma?...etc... |
