Re: 97 ebony on ebay

Lookin4svx, been there done that. When I bought my 96 red lsi back in 05, I made the mistake of paying for it before seeing it, ebay auction. As everyone on this network who followed my story knows, it had a salvaged title, which the seller said was converted to a rebuilt title. Long story short, the famous Buck Jones, aka Geno Marchetti Jones mailed me a salvaged title, that was in someone else name. It took me almost two years to get a new title, and only through the help of this wonderful network and its loyal members was I able to get the title. Sorry, I forgot the network members name. I believe his name is Steve and his Dad was a Maryland State Trooper. Picture of the reweld OT and Jerry (subiecrosser) did after discovering it was only spot welded Car was totalled 10 months later when my wife was rear ended by F250 pick up.

and holy **** is that a coin holder with a door on it?

Haha, remind's me of what whitesub said this weekend when he saw the one in my '97. "There's supposed to be a cover there??"

Yea, the OBD2 cars have the diagnostic port where the coin holder had been. It's actually funny to watch mechanics look all over the place for it and then show them it's right there.

This car has been re-listed for $3500. (Wish I hadn't looked.)

If it's as advertised and not some spit-and-bailing-wire hack job, that would be a shame. The dinged title might be an impediment to resale, but for someone looking for a long-term keeper and able to give it a thorough check-ride, it could be worth a look.

If you read the post on what it would take for a person in Conn to reg it you will understand my comment. I bought a brand new CF Moto V3 motorcycle from China with bill of origin and still in the box. Took me 3 months to get it tagged in Conn.
