Re: Parts availability: How near is the end?
I know that there has to be at least support for a vehicle for ten years after it is discontinued but I believe it has been increased to 15 years, I believe I recall that law changing within the last 10 years, whether or not this would have been retroactive is beyond me.

They come with the tint, but do NOT have the protective coating, thus being as cheap as they are.

Re: Parts availability: How near is the end?
All this talk about parts becoming harder to get is upsetting. I decided today to get off my lazy a** and do something about it. Even tho it was below 20 this morning I managed to get me one of these for a spare.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...sl/photo-2.jpg It's too bad things aren't like they used to be. A car went to the junkyard and sat until it was unrecognizable, now after 6 months straight to the crusher to make room for more. |
Re: Parts availability: How near is the end?
Hey, that answers a question I had. Will an EG33 easily fit in the back of an Outback? And also a green one at that.
That one looks pretty complete. |
Re: Parts availability: How near is the end?
It's complete, any pilfering that was done was by me:D I plan on getting everything I can off this SVX. I have nowhere to store a parts car but plenty of room for parts.

I understand.:) So go buy the parts that you know that you are going to need! Buy a crankshaft pulley, some antisway bar bushings, some ball joints, some rear wheel bearings and seals, gasket kits, hood struts, radiator hoses, a couple of radiators, a driveshaft, a crate of axles, a pallet of CD players... cam seals, crank seals, timing belts, brake pads, rotors, calipers, inner tie rod ends, outer tie rod ends, an extra 3.3, some water pumps, and your garage will look like mine.:o |
