Nick - welcome to the site.

I am 54 and having a great time with the car and group of members of all ages that are here and local northwest group. I think it is more of a attitude than actual age when it comes to what we are like. I have seen some real OLD people in their 30's and some real young 70 year olds. :) :)

(trying to convince myself that I am still young :) :) )

thanks!

Thanks,
I hope that maybe I can meet you at Reading next year, maybe you can meet my father, svxfiles, who just bought his 7th svx! Ask him about it some time!

Nick: welcome to the site. How were you able to afford a '96 model at 14 years of age? Did your parents help you out or did you pull a "Ron Ridenour"? Are you able to drive at 14 in West Virginia?

I'm just glad I didn't have access to an SVX when I was 14. I would of probably hurt somebody (probably myself!).

I could only imagine what it would be like to drive an SVX to your high school every day for four years. It's probably a great feeling to have knowing you have the coolest car in the high school parking lot (excluding faculty). That's certainly the way I felt when I drove my SVX to my high school during the final semester of my senior year.

Alycone 07-01-2004 06:16 PM

I'm 23, I've had my SVX for almost 2 years. :)

boxer6 07-01-2004 06:26 PM

let me answer for you

A: My dad bought it for me

2:No, I need to be 15 to get my permitt (I can wait, just gives me more time to mod it) but I've been practicing!

III:Yes, it's going to be awsome NOT DRIVING A NEON like the common man, the salt of the earth, you know...

22--not too old and not too young...

I'm 20, and that means halfway to 40. WOW, halfway to 40. If that doesn't make you feel old I don't know what will.

26. I am getting older by the minute

boxer6 07-01-2004 07:28 PM

My dad says that "bikers" (and bikers in spirit, like my dad) "only start to feel old when they hit fifty." Then I wonder "hit fifty what?":D

jklmnopqrst 07-01-2004 07:48 PM

Guard TL: Why did you buy a SVX if you're a poor college student? I'm also a 19 year-old struggling college student and I am looking to SELL my SVX; the last thing on my mind is spending money (especially buying a car).

I'm 16, and yes it is a great feeling. I hate all the hondas, ricers:rolleyes: ford explorers, etc. that pollute the parking lot. By far I have the best car in the lot.

Guard-TL- 07-01-2004 07:58 PM

I got lucky for ones and got my svx for a very low price. And as the result I’m selling my other car for more then I paid for the svx.
So the little money I make out of this either goes to buy books or in to my new car. But then again who needs books!!!!!! http://forums.probetalk.com/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

......i'm gona fail http://forums.probetalk.com/images/s.../icon_tsns.gif
