In terms of performance, lower offset wheels are likely to cause the car to pull more in grooved roads and make the car a little less stable under braking. Its not enough to make the car handle poorly, but it is a reduction in handling performance. Just so you know, there are wheels out there for the SVX with offsets in the high 40's and low 50's. Most are outrageously expensive, but there are a few brands, in particular, Rota, that have inexpensive wheels that work well with our car. |

That's great Nick :)
It would be really something if my SVX had the original bearings. |

Three out of four in 230,000 miles. Now there is something to think about.

Okay, I just bought and paid for these rims:
Should fit fine. Now I need recommendations on tires. What size do I need for those rims? And here is what I consider important in a tire, in order: - Good traction in rain and snow - Price - Quiet - Ride - Handling - At least 20,000 mile treadwear with mild driving habits. What are my options? |

I've had a thought on this
This may or may not be original thinking.....
We have around 2000 members here at Subaru-svx net, and there were, I don't know how many over at Wahoo...maybe another 2000? There were over 17,000 of the SVX made. Even taking into account that some of us have more than one, we represent the minority of the people that bought the car. Perhaps we are the vocal minority. From my point of view, perhaps we are the ones that came here looking for the answers to common but, possibly, not over whelming problems. Also, perhaps, might we be the ones that drive more and maybe harder than the other 10 thousand + owners? Just thinking.... |
So...... we are the only ones with problems. :D

no, just the most vocal:D I'm thinking that the problems are far fewer than what we experience here.... but I might be wrong.;) |
So....... we are the only ones with VOCAL problems. :D
