Here's Saturday's footage of the extended course (0.86 miles) in OT's SVX racer.

And some pictures of the course, Mike Wirt (Rufus) in the SVX, and a few of my little brother in my MR2. There were some sky divers using the airport as their landing zone too :D

That looks like a fun course. The driving looked great..

How did it feel with Tom's latest mods?

A little better throttle response and mid-range torque. A bit less body roll especially in the front. Seemed like a little more grip too, or maybe I'm just getting more used to where its limit is and learning how to drive it. Sometimes it's hard to tell if the improvements are with the car or my own skills.

It was a lot of fun though. Was cool that I beat Mike and Pete, both veteran instructors for outstanding driving schools.

Jerry lent me a full size 2.66# aluminum crankshaft pulley, thanks Jerry.
I installed it plus a rebuilt water pump.
The pully should help the steering, and hopefully the water pump will finally fix that slight leak.
I drilled out the upper bolt holes in the front spindles and struts.
The front camber is now 1" in at 22.5" on the drivers side and .75" at 22.5" on the passenger side measured with a square against the tires.
Elezar, the videos kinda blew me away!

Note; I believe that this represents a 2.87° negative camber.

Are you sure that you did'nt speed up the video?

Yes, most of us at NASA do know how to do calculations correctly (and use the right units!)

Watching and listening to the videos I have a couple of observations:

1. Definitely less body roll!
2. Needs more tire!
3. Needs faster steering ratio? (hands have to leave the steering wheel too often)
4. Car is making a "duck" noise on hard turns (180 at the end of the long long and at least 3 other places). Not totally sure what's causing the noise. Noise at 35, 44 and 1:21 seconds of run #3 video. Might be tires skidding?
5. Not sure, but is the front end lifting on hard acceleration?

It definitely sounds "beastly"!!:ninja:
