I got 31MPG!

I just got back from Philly. I filled up just outside of the city, after I got out of the stop-and-go traffic area. I filled up again when I got home. It was 99% highway but somewhat hilly highway. That was way better than my previous high of 29MPG. One major change that may explain it is that I had Tom replace my plugs and I used NGK Iridium IX plugs. They supposedly add a little HP and MPG. Maybe it isn't just marketing BS!!!

Tom put new coils and ngk iridium plugs in my car when he did my head gaskets and replaced every rubber hose in the engine bay, or close to it. Sad to say, because of my eratic high idle, I only got 17.5 miles a gallon on my last tankful.

one overlooked item people tend to forget that does seem to add some MPG is cleaning the MAF with every air filter change.

I averaged 26MPG at 80MPH most of the way down to OT's yesterday, 420 miles.;)
