I know the vf23 turbo is great for quick spooling but does anyone know if its effective for an Svx?

It's very good on a 2L, small on a 2.2L, far to small on a 2.5L... so it would be like a turbo diesel on a 3.3L... fantastic until about 2500 rpm :P

Now we're talking. Each one makes around 200 kw atw on a EJ20. Prolly make 400 kw atw when running twins.

You could always hunt down 2 of the OEM 205 turbos, the TD04. Its similar sized and they can be had for almost nothing. I think a pair of VF39s would be a better choice if you build the bottom end to handle it if you are running higher RPM motors. The larger VF39 wont run out of breathing room in the upper RPM range.

TD04's are a fair bit smaller than a VF23 (usually a TD04 will make 150-160 kw atw on a good day)... but yes you're very right in them being ultra cheaper - $150 each easily.
