I looked at the offering from http://svx-motorsport-accessories.stores.yahoo.net/inac.html

Not really needing an interior, but I would like to add some color. Looking at the seat options , they look loose, seat cover looking, anyone ever install these?
I got a quote of $60.00 each to remove old and put new covers on. Total $240. They want $1,000 for the covers with dark blue
with gray center inserts . Put it in my Laguna blue 1994.

Just wondering if the seats will look tight like manufactured or will they fit loose. If I knew they would look like I had it done professionally I might go for it . Followed by a new paint job. Then I would have the car as perfect. As I can get it.

I was wondering the same thing, but when I commented on it a while back In another thread I was told that they leave them loose when photographing them. When they are actually installed they are pulled tight and look awesome.

Having had full leather interiors installed in my previous Subarus, I can tell you the looseness is completely normal at the time of installation.

New leather is sewn intentionally looser to allow for ease of installation. Pulling the covers over the padding, straightening and aligning the seams etc. Once the leather is in the proper position, the installer will use a high-temperature hand steamer, to shrink the leather and smooth out all the wrinkles in the leather.

After that, 2 or 3 days in the sun causes the leather to tighten even further to a perfect fit.

The reason that Dayle's seats look loose and wrinkled is that he installs multiple sets in the same cars to show you how they would look. If he were to steam each set, they would be harder to remove and even harder to reinstall.

I wouldn't worry. I've seen this magical tranformation several times.

I did get mine professionally done. After looking at the covers, and finding that every color addition was extra and the logo was extra and the install was going to be about $60.00 per front seat and $100.00 for the rear (maybe more as mine is split and would require a mod. ) I checked my local upholsterer. I also added heated seats and still was less than the covers with installation.

Mine are in 3 colors with colored stitching and my own logo installed . Not loose at all all with new padding. Feel like sitting in my living room recliner. NOT sure if the covers would be in all leather either. Original seats were not. These are all leather and I had a choice of 1,000 colors .

Picture taken before they were even sat on. Once in the sun they got even tighter.

Looking at it from the outside it brightens up the interior. Pictures lost to another car for best interior. I think they thought mine was a stock interior.
Also got the roof, bumpers and hood painted. Guy did an incredible job with paint match. That's the Carbon Fiber hood .

THANKS. I like it better in a lighter color.

John, All your images have the exact same name (image.jpg). You need to rename each image. That way you can add 5 images per post.

Once you attach your images, click in each attachment (right-click) and scroll down to "Copy Image Location" and left-click to select.

Then go up to the photo icon at the top (The yellow square with the mountain), Click to open and paste. Press OK and into your message.

Do this for each one separately and save.

Ok I will try that thanks.
I can't do it on my iPad. I will have to fig out how to change them.

I have the same problem on mine. It only refers to any uploaded image from your ipad an an "image.jpg" So every image you upload to the network replaces the one previously. There is no way around this

I have to email photos to myself from the ipad and open them on my PC. Download them and re-save under a different name. Then upload to the network from there.

Yea I do 90% of forum and Internet on the iPad. Don't post enough pictures to make it worth the trouble. Just noticed others do it was wondering how. Now I know.
