So how did you plumb the water lines to this thing? There are 2 water lines coming off of it, right? What did you connect them to?

Stock pistons, Manley rods and ACL race bearings.

Pistons should hold up fine for 550 hp with E85 - have so thus far with 100+ laps complete.

Stock pistons? That's kind of shocking.

Which ACL bearings are you going to use exactly? I know enough to know that I need two sets of EJ22 bearings but I haven't been able to figure out which brand/type of bearings are best. (Also the EJ22s there are two types of bearings - one with thrust bearing at #3 and one at another, but I don't entirely know what that means or which is right for the EG33.) I have ordered all the parts to build my engine except for those.

Shocking in what way, that I'm going to keep using the stock pistons?

Also I bought 2 x sets of EJ2X ACL HX bearings (3# thrust) for my big end. I also have a set of #5 thrust so I'll check everything and report back in detail.

Shocking that you wouldn't go for pistons that are stronger and lower compression. Some people who have broken EG33s with boost have had the pistons go first.

Thanks for the info on the bearings. These, right? http://www.aclperformance.com.au/us/subaruej20ebearingsus.htm

What do you think for the rod bearings? Same?
