I have a HTC Thunderbolt that I'd like to place in my field of vision. I've tried couple of cheesy vent mounts and they work fairly well. Trouble is, I don't want to give up the vent for when I need A/C air  Down here in the SW, it's getting hot.

I also don't want to mount anything to the windshield using suction cups due to the daily use of a window shade. All of my vehicles have the Eclipse (http://www.eclipsesunshades.net/) windshield curtain/shade.

I just ordered the iGRIP - PerfektFit Charging Dock for Thunderbolt (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0052G6IRG/ref=pe_175190_21431760_C1_sw_3p_dp_1) and hoping to secure it to the top of the dash some how.

Let me know what is your favorite smart phone holder.

You could mount it to the far left side, on the fixed glass of the door. People do that with GPSs sometimes.

Hmm, that's an idea. I'll have to try it out since this is probably the only car you can try this on!
