Chris,

I am new to this system and have my second SVX...

Can an noutback 5 speed and flywheel be fitted to the SVX?

I would assume that there might be hals shaft issues, master and slave cylinder and speedometer stuff too.

Do you think its possible within reason ($$$$)

There is a 5 speed car for sale in the wanted but the owner has not responded to my queries

What are your thoughts?

Yes an Outback, Legacy, Forester or Impreza Tranny can be used(they all run the same tranny) I did it for under $1000 + my labor see

for my write up.

I'd have to charge labor to do it for somebody else, but if you bought the Parts, I've discussed it with a Local tranny shop here(a buddy of mine), and he said he'd do the labor (with my help) for about $1500.00, so if you can find your parts as cheap as I did, you could have it done for about $2500-$3000.00, but I'm not sure on the down time as his shop stays covered up.
