finally went a step further, last summer I did some orange
LEDs in my JDM corners, and it came out well.
I bought a batch of decent size individual 6k LEDs and
went to town.
It was a pretty labor intensive and time consuming project
from start to finish, but I like how it came out.

Yeah those look awesome and I want them. Its almost exactly how I was planning on doing mine. Great work!

yeah, its really updated the look of the car
and gets more attention at nite as you can expect..
lots of nice compliments on it at the cruise spots.

How hard was it to do? What parts did you use?

bought some bulk large 6k LEDs with a good light pattern
pulled out the headlights
measured out the pattern of where I wanted the LEDs and
how many would look good..
carefully marked and drilled the holes
used a drill bit exact size of the LED itself
pushed in the LED
siliconed around it
modded the bumper cover a little under the headlight
to add extra clearance for the LED and wires..
Installed the headlights..carefully.
wired them all into my parking lite source
and that was pretty much it.

What was the reason for not installing them all the way across?

Did a similar effect in the beginning of April this year and had it at the Reading meet.

Used a flexible led strip.

Drilled a 3/4 inch hole in the end of the headlight.

Put a thin layer of RTV on the side of the strip facing the bottom of the housing.

Covered the hole and wired it in so they light up whenever the key is on.

Very easy to do, but the fluted stock lens changes the way the LED's look from one side to the other.
