When my TC locks up my rpms barely drop at all. Is there any way I can fix this without putting any or a lot of money into it. Could something just need to be tightened?

As I understand it, the system locks up or it doesn't - it's controlled by solenoid B - and I assume you're not getting a flashing light. So the question is at what speed/rpm are you looking at to determine the drop - then you can compare with others or calculate correct rpm/speed if so inclined. All lock-up does is directly couple the engine to the output. If you're getting lockup and not seeing much rpm drop, then it seems to me that you aren't getting much hydraulic "slip" without lockup.

keep in mind this is from a guy who really doesn't know anything about automatics except from reading.
