Bad A/C Evaporator

I am kind of upset here.. I take my car into the shop last week and they evac and recharge the A/C and tell me it works fine....I pick it up and it doesn't....that's ok. I didn't need the $200 anyway.

SO, I take it back. Now they tell me I have a leak in the evaporator case. $300 for R&R and then another $300 for the case. On top of that, another $200 for recharge of the system and cost of freon.

Sound fishy?

Where'd ya take it. If they charged you flat rate, point out the fact that a complete recharge, (even a partial charge), includes a leak test!

Yeah, sounds fishy to me.
