I apologize right off the bat because I know that this will end up in an argument between people, but I would like some insight into my current (no pun intended) issue....

I moved my battery to the trunk (just like I did on my silver car) but for some reason or another I am having a grounding issue ( I put about 8 coats of paint on my alternator mounting bracket during the transplant to the ebony). I am running the higher output alternator and now with the Hydra installed I do not want to risk frying it. My current wiring set up is as follows:

Battery in the trunk...

Negative terminal to frame ground via a 16" 4gauge wire...

Positive terminal to positive post on starter via a 4 gauge wire...

Original positive battery clamp under the hood has been cut out and extended to reach the positive post of the starter as well...

Nothing has been done to the original alternator wiring...

Run an additional gnd to the engine. A good 00 gauge wire should be good with the ends crimped and soldered. Also run a ground strap from the alternator to the engine block like we already discussed if you have not already
