SVX wanted

Im looking for an svx unfortunately I dont have much to spend I'm looking at around 100-1500 not to picky just need it to be driveable with a good trans and good tires. I have replied to a few of the for sale threads but incase any one else has anything. I'm located in maryland but am willing to fly and pick up the car as long as it wil ldrive back to maryland. Also would prefer for it to have as few electrical issues as possible and body to be in decent shape for the mileage.

There is a 92 pearly in Florida in the for sale threads for $1600. Do not buy the pearly in martinsburg wv for $850. The kid selling is an idiot! Good luck.

The car needs a new transmission or front diff, new tires (all tires are mismatched and different tread wear. He claims the rear tires are like "racing slicks", but they're just bald. :lol:), and who knows what else. It was this kids first car and by the looks of the car (and the other cars sitting on the property) it doesn't look like they've been taken care of very well. The car has rust on both front fenders and rear quarter panels as well as the doors. I looked at the car and ended up walking away as fast as I could. He called me later to haggle a price and I gave him what I would pay for the car in its condition to which he replied..."I could get $2000 for just the engine..." An engine with 150+ miles. He originally had the car advertised for $800 and after I looked at the car in person he raised the price to $850. If you want to take a look at the car, go for it. As much as I would love to see the car go to a loving home...it's not worth the $850 he's asking. There is a 2 page thread on Budfreaks forum about this car in the for sale section.

Actually you may want to put it off, a $2500 SVX with a known service history is probably where you want to be. I would say keep saving and check the for sale section frequently.

Edit: Or buy the one below from TomSVX, I don't think you can go wrong buying a SVX from him.

yeah I think I'm putting it off till I can spend 2500 that seems to be the magic number of getting a decent svx. I guess if I have waited this long what is another 2 years right?
