As I watch the news, lcoal factory closures, disappearing 401k and many other factors I began to ask myself "Are we headed towards another Great Depression?" Why in the hell are we bailing out corrupt corporations, banks and others to save the rest of America? These bailouts did nothing but accelerate the problem. Unemployment in some states is reaching 10% or more, crime is up, prices on goods are down, etc.

Low and behold what the hell is our government been thinking for the past 20yrs? Ooohh lets take Americans money and pad our pockets with risky investments and corps. and we can sit back and get rich. Sorry but where is the long term solution to our crisis?

I plan on NOT leaving the home I built if I lose my job, I plan on sitting my a$$ right on my front porch and exercising some Constitutional rights, namely the 1st and 2nd amendments. Why do you think our Founding Fathers wanted these rights given to the people? Has we as Americans forgot what this country stands for....Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness? I see a coming Global economic crisis and not far after another world war. Dont think it can happen? Think again.

Life-You and I alike have worked hard to preserve Life. I go to work to provide for my family, pay my bills, enjoy life, etc. Who has the right to take that from me? No one. There is no excuse for the corruption of a few to destroy the lives of many. NO ONE!

Liberty-Remember who the government works for ......it you not the other way around. Look up your local laws and ordinances and you will see what I'm talking about. There is so much crap in some of these no wonder we are in the situation we're in.

Pursuit of Happiness- People have gotten greedy and wanted to live rich. How does it happen you ask? Banks get with local government to drive the values of homes up which in return the local government collects more taxes fees, etc. I live in a county of about 75k people and property values went up on average about 30-45% in 3-4 yrs. Were talking about land values...dirt! Same dirt as the past 4 billion years WTF.

Remember what America stands for. Help a neighbor if he needs it, fight for what is right, aim true:D and your government works for you, not the other way around.

I, for one, am for "greedy" corporations. Nothing like businesses who want to make money hand over fist to stimulate the economy.

That being said, I agree on all of this "bailout" crap. Make as much money as you can, but if you fail, you fail!

Meh, socialism had to prevail at some point. It promises easier goodies to the unwashed masses than capitalism. Free-market, you will be missed. :(

This is not a fialure of a free market.. it is a failure of socialism.. This mess is a demonstration of what hapens when government gets greedy (as well as individuals). The success we have here in America is a direct result of the hard working, respectful people who inhabit it. The government has never done anything to add to what we have attained. If anything it has thrown obstacles and roadblocks in the pathways.

I'm not saying the free-market failed; I'm saying it's being assassinated. The free-market works whereas Socialism doesn't, but Socialism is more appealing these days as everyone seems to want "gimmes."
