I noticed that there is a meet schedualed for the Dragon in late June. Where can I get some more information on this?

This is a meet put on by Subaruxt.com. The XT/XT6 site (The ancestor of the SVX) All are welcome to attend, and if you've never been to the Dragon before....well once you've been there, you can only start counting down to the next year's event :D

Dragon 2009 Official Thread

The Subaru Alcyone Dragon 2009 Meet has been set for June 26-27th.

Cabins and rooms have been blocked off at Fontana Village Resort for those two dates with the Dragonslayer's discount applied. Call 800-849-2258 and ask for reservations; tell them you are with the Subaru Alcyone group to get the discount. The rooms have been blocked off until March 15th and you must make reservations by then in order to get the discount. There is a new property manager for the site who is more strict with the handling of group discounts, but we were grandfathered in since we have been coming for several years. Blocked accomodations include:

3 Laurels Cabins
8 Lodge rooms
1 Campsite with hookups

You do not have to reserve one of the blocked rooms/cabins in order to receive the group discount, though you still have to make the reservations by March 15th. I just have to say that I am really looking forward to seeing all you guys in just under six months. Woo hoo!

I'm slipping this year, I usually post about it when we get it all set up....sorry:o

But yes it is a great time, very laid back kind of meet....you get to drive some incredible roads, and hang out with some great people,...

Huck, would you be bringing your SVX RWD or Frankenwedge? I still would love to be in the passenger seat of your Wedge, that has to be a blast to drive :lol::lol::lol:

I'll be driving FrankenWedge and the wife (or my daughter)will be driving the SVX

New to the SVX community here and just saw the Dragon Meet in June. I live in Tennessee so would like to attend. Is it too late to get a room reserved there with the discount? I will have my 92 SVX complete by then and would like to meet some other Subaru enthusiasts.

You can probably still get a room, not sure if you can still get the discount or not, but the rooms aren't that expensive even without it.

I think there are a couple of the XT members that have a room and are looking for someone to split costs with if you want to check into that...go to : www.subaruxt.com/forum

And look through the Dragon Threads...or let me know and I'll check for you.

Thought I'd bump this back up, while the Reading meet is still fresh on everyones mind.... :)


So if you wanna get another "SVX Fix" this is the place to get it!

I'd love to see more SVXers at the Dragon this year :)

The XT's might outnumber the SVX's this year from the looks of it:eek:

We'd love to see the Car....let us know when you might be there (Saaturday evening is the usual cookout at one of the cabins at Fontana Village....so that would be a good time to be there.

Understandable. The crime was in the past few years! Hopefully not this year.

Wife still hold a final veto till Friday... something to do with being 8+ months pregnant or somethig...:lol:

One of these years I WILL MAKE THIS EVENT. GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Anyway, wife is fine, baby is fine. Wife spent Friday and Saturday nights in the hospital. She was released Sunday mid day, but it looks like we will induce labor Tuesday.

I am just happy they are both OK.
