been trying a new type of cold air kit
Pretty cool and simple
I checked aprox flow capability of the stock paper
filter, then the Green Drop In, and ended up with a
new option.
large aluminum inlet tube fits snuggly in the stock box
correct size Hi flow Green Filter
It all tucks neatly in the stock box for a true stock
looking but hi flow re-usable air intake.

That's cool, but how about some hardpipes all the way to the throttle bodies? I'd be game for those.

What's the difference in air flow between the stock paper and the green?

hardpipes are nothing cold
but they do look pretty cool
most of them are already on our site

www.planetsvx.com

we have cold airs, short rams and B pipes.

What's the difference in air flow between the stock paper and the green?

you have to do 2 things.

1. measure the surface area of each. For the panel filter it's length times width. For the round cylinder filter it's diameter times pi (3.1415) times the length.
For a cone filter it's the diameter in the middle times pi times length.

That gives you the surface area. if on is 50 and the other is 75, you know that the 75 flows 50% more than the 50.

To get actual cfm numbers you have to know the cfm per square inch. For KN it's 6 cfm/sq. inch. The people at green would not give me a cfm/sq inch figure. just said "it's more than KN." Which I don't really believe. But that's what they said.

So if I have the CAI already all I need to do is reverse it in the box? Or do you need another bent pipe?

So what's the difference in surface area between the green cylinder filter and the paper panel filter?

I have not been able to test the green because I will have to cut it up to do so
but basically it's 340cfm with the stock panel filter and 406cfm with the round one.
