Drooping sunvisor and vanity mirror light fix instructions

Hmm...

So with the drooping visor problem... Is the problem due to the fact the little plastic piece slips on the metal between them? I hope that makes sense. Because if that is the case...regluing would make sense...but if its not...how would taking it apart and putting it together again fix the issue? Both mine sag VERY badly and I really want to fix them. Any help would be appreciated.

That is one of the problems. Another problem might have to do with the base and stalk of sunvisor.

Check to see if you plastic piece moves around a lot if, it does, doesnt hurt to glue back together(there are some air cavities in the plastic part which i filled with glue.)

I checked mine out...sure enough they swivel all over. I'll see if I can get them glued up in the next couple days.

i have to try that krazy glue part.
the last time i tried fixing this, i tried pulling the whole bar out of the visor---it wouldn't budge.
for now, i'm using my safeway club card and a rubberband.
you wedge the card between the trim and the visor and then secure the other end with the rubberband.
tacky, but it works for now.

i'll borrow a digital camera and take a picuture for you. (i'm at work now)
ideally i would've posted one last night, but my roommate was gone and i didn't have access to his camera.

This weekend, if my friend has a digital camera(my other friend took back his) I might be able to post some more how tos,..

Im thinking of taking all the how tos that already out there and aggregating it in one spot, makes it easier to go to instead of say go to X's personal locker. (with theri permission of course)


I should call mine the idots guide to fixing up the svx :) I look to include as much detail (no matter how trivial) if i can!

i've just added some pictures in my personal locker displaying my sunvisor droop fix. i'd recommend this as a temporary fix that doesn't harm your headliner/visor/trim. personally, i'm not satisfied with the red card, purple rubberband combo--but it sure beats the heck out of a drooping visor. i'll be trying the crazy glue fix when i get the chance.
