Im toying with the idea on making some side skirts
and front bumper cover Half Spoiler.
I have a set on hand and
have a great source for cloning them.
If I get enough interest or pre orders Ill go forward and
send them out to get done.

:p Might be interested in skirts, depending on price and design. I'm going to stick with getting the 2 piece splitters for the front end though.

A rear lip/bumper would perk my interest though.

Motorsport-SVX

the sides would be the same ones made across the pond
or very very similar...

and the front probably this design mildly
changed.

I like our 2 pcs Splitters myself too...
lots in stock too !!

I would be interested in some skirts....Cause the stock ones just dont do it for me....front bumper also. I am looking for a kit that makes the car a little more badass. Love the rear of the car though.

redlightningsvx
05-25-2008, 05:51 PM
for the front bumper would it be like a cover you just bolt on like the stock one or will you need to mold it to the bumper? i would like just replacing the existing cover and boltin on a new one than molding in a new one.

Ones across the pond... KStaff? Or Cloud? I have to see if I can find some pictures of it...

found em...http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/svx-motorsport-accessories_2001_5365510.jpg

That front end doesn't do anything, like I said, the splitters look good, as long as you're lowered. Anything else looks too "ricey" and cow-catcher like, along with being big, bulky, and kind of "euro" looking.

In order to pass judgment on the sideskirts, I'd have to see them on an SVX, if you have any shots of that it'd be nice. I got that picture from your site, Dayle.

I do like the looks of the front end on the blue car though. Very nice.

I'll have to bookmark that site.

And I have to say that yes, Dayle I would be interested in the side skirts. Would a certain number of people or a group buy or something help things at all?

Motorsport-SVX
05-31-2008, 09:03 PM
in order the make the mold, I have to destroy a new set
of side skirts..
that, plus the cost of the molds themselves..
cost will be around $550-750 for the pair at the
moment.
Alot really depends on how many buy from the first batch.

Dayle, can we get a reasonable timeframe? - Chris

Motorsport-SVX
06-01-2008, 08:30 PM
half bumpers only and
est time frame from the time we get enough orders
4-6 weeks to make the molds and another few weeks to
get them built.

YourConfused
06-01-2008, 10:01 PM
is there any chance of getting them made from something flexy, like poly?

Motorsport-SVX
06-01-2008, 10:06 PM
always a chance, but for the sides it almost
not necessary.
Front would be nice, but more costly.
And personally I like how fiberglass takes on
paint better then urethane.
As it stands right now, we cant even get 5 people
to commit to making them out of glass.

I love the skirts, but 550-750, plus shipping, is no amount to shake a stick at. I can't commit to anything at the moment - say you end up getting enough people in for an original mold, you going to keep selling them on your site indefinably?

Hey Dayle!
If you go for making a mold on the side skirts and keep the cost around the lower end of $550, you can count me in.

Just let me know so I start setting some money aside. I'm in no rush as I'm busier than I'd like right now to play with my SVX but just wanted you to know that for $550, I'll buy some side skirts. I want them pretty bad but haven't been able to justify the cost. But who knows, give me a couple of months and maybe even $750 is possible for me.

I was kind of hoping they'd be of a more flexible material then fiberglass incase I have some idiot hit the skirt with their leg or door.

any chance you're still thinking about cloning that k staff bumper?? and if so what are you planning to sell the clones for??? what are the original ones made out of? are they fg???

Motorsport-SVX
09-07-2008, 08:56 PM
get at least 6 people to committ to a set
and we can do it..
aprox price $450-550 , and made out of fiberglass..
urethane can cost that much, but we would have
to have a min of 15-20 units first to do it.

Sign me up for the side skirts!

As far as the bumper, I am really not feeling it at all... a bit too bulky for my liking. I definitely love the way the side skirts + splitters look, so that is what I will be going for.

did you jus say 450-550 on a kstaff styliee bumper.... i think I jus creamed myself.... advertise it man... start another thread for a poss buy in. I would freakin run it on my credit card jus for that ****... that's like half the price you are sellin the other ones.... I bet a bunch of people would go down for them.

Motorsport-SVX
09-08-2008, 11:25 PM
been there, done that...
never enough response...
alot of "interest" but once we ask for the half
down deposit up front and say it can take 2-3 months
for delivery, deposit non refundable, etc.. interest
drops and the project falls by the waist side.
Thats the projected price too, should be in that range
I can promise (plus shipping of course..)
Feel free to start the thread if you want getting people
onboard for either the front or sides and Ill stay on it.
But those are the rules for anyone willing to wait.
I promise quaility products like I have for years.

Johnybeas
09-10-2008, 08:39 PM
how come it would still take that long for delivery if you are gonna be cloning them locally????

Motorsport-SVX

how come it would still take that long for delivery if you are gonna be cloning them locally????

Locally meaning in the USA
I still have to have someone make molds
and they have a list of people and parts ahead
of my stuff once we place the order.
It could take less time, but this would be worst
case scenerio...

Once we do the initial order, mold making etc, Ill
have them in stock on the shelf ready to ship
(but the price will be higher for having to inventory them)

Johnybeas
09-11-2008, 03:00 PM
I see. well I'm sure there are quite a few people we just need to know for sure that someone is actually gonna throw down for a reasonably priced kit cause it seems like now a days every kit for the SVX is ridiculously expensive and a pain to obtain.

Johnybeas
09-11-2008, 08:28 PM
so if say 6 people put down 225 each we could have a k staff clone in max of 3 months? at which time we put down another 250? is that solid???

+1 for side skirts and splitters... if on the splitters were designed into the bumper... i don't like just sticking them on and having that outline on them...

Dayle, i'm still in for side skirts.. I am swamped at work right now and haven't had time to be very social but just send me an email or txt so I know when to pay. lo
Also sorry, I haven't called. I'm still searching for a MAF as mine went bad. I am going to try to fix it but i also like the idea of having a spare around.

p.s. I <3 side skirts.

Johnybeas
09-13-2008, 07:08 PM
splitters = blehhh! IMHO I think they are a joke they look cheesey cause they are obviously tacked on aftermarket... and honestly I don't think do much to change the appearance of the front end. Personally I hate how beaked the front end of the svx is I think that if you add more front end it looks sexy as hell. Just my opinion though. So pretty much people are only down for the skirts now???

I will have my car in Utah in the snow too, but the way I see it I will be doing the suspension too so whatevz if it is really that big of a prob I'll raise it a bit... but I Like it low... specially in the summer it'll look hot.

Either way hit me if I don't catch the project actually goin down.

My side skirt molds are being done as we speak.
I started the process and Ill have 5 sets of skirts
available mid to late Nov. Its a done deal .
For anyone interested, they should contact me asap.
Est price for the pair is still around $450 for the pair
plus shipping.
S&H is $ due to their size and HD packing we have to
do to protect them.
These will be just like the originals, gel coated etc too.
Note: they wont come with any hardware etc because
the stuff from overseas was never offered with it.
Installation should still be smooth and seamless for a
experienced installer.

(maybe in Jan we will do one of the front half spoilers) :)

Depends on their location of course from Az
but they can only ship Oversized via DHL.
They should ship via truck frt.
Or I can ship several sets to one person like Tom or
someone in the PA or Tri state areas and you go pick
them up from him there if they chose to.
that would save alot of $.
That rate can be anywhere from $125-175 is a close

+1 on that...
my list is kinda like this...

Finish my new wiring harness for my neons
finish the blue lights conversion
make my halos
Get 8K Hid's to replace my 9006 xenon's
get clear lenses and install halos while lenses are off
get polished intake manifold from nevin and polish and paint my engine cover
get AVIC-F900BT and some subs
get bobby or tom to build my suspension
buy a hydra
get front bumper fiberglass hood n side skirts
buy new pistons cams etc as well as turbo stuff
build motor + turbo
get hydra tune
lambo door conversion

That's kinda my priority order... some things may be moved but as of right now that's kinda the order of things... if I won the lottery all of that would be done right now as well as have my car shipped here so I don't have to drive it across country.

taking deposits for the front half spoiler
its going to be $380 plus shipping.

which will be oversized and truck frt.
so aprox $125-200 depending on your location.
But if some of you want to ship 2-3 or more to one location
and then distribute them from there, it will save some money
on shipping for everyone.
Est time to make about a month from the time we put it into production.
